You only get side effects if you don't back up your own original eeprom code (Which is done through the Battery Creator program)

PSP, all the way from 1.00 to 5.50 GEN D2 - DS Lite w/ M3DS Real (M3 Sakura v1.34)
PS3 3.01 - iPod Touch 2G 16GB Jailbroken - Xbox 360 60GB - PC, Q6600, 3GB DDR2, GTX260 (216) 896MB

If you decide to keep the battery and mem stick as a Pandora then yes, it will work forever (Well, until your battey gives up the ghost or your mem stick refuses to read/write (Just give them a few years))

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone can help me out.

I get upto the part where I go to load the Pandora firm installer, but it gives me the error msg that the game can't start.

I've tried changing the kernal to 1.50, and still no luck.

Im using a Fat PSP, running 3.71 M33-2 firmware.
Tried a Sony 2gb ProDuo card, and a SanDisk ProDuo 4gb card.

Please help!
Thanks.

When you get that "updating registry...cannot write system dreg" error in the pandora unbrick process, that means your registry is corrupted-Which is why you get the BSOD and it just reboots...

In which case you'll have to get a hold of a fresh 1.50 nand dump from another psp and restore it to your bricked psp, but be sure to choose the option to NOT use the idstorage when restoring-otherwise you will have problems.

To make a nand dump-select the option in the pandora menu that says something like backup nand.bin to ms0:/-I think its square...Then once you have your nand (flash) saved to the memory stick, locate it on your memory stick and rename it to "nandimage.flash"-then when you insert the pandora battery, and you see the menu-You will want to select the restore option, and then select the one that says restore without idstorage-
after i chose the "restore without idstorage", it says "cannot open file"

i got a nand.bin from a version 3.52 M33

I dont think you can use a custom firmware nand dump-It should probably be 1.50...also make sure that you rename the .bin file to "nandimage.flash" and make certain that the file type shows as a flash file..In which case you would have to go into your windows explorer, and select "tools" and then "folder options" and uncheck "hide extenions for known file types"....I would make sure you do that first, and then try again to use that renamed 3.52M33 nand dump-It might and it might not work...But the reason you are getting the "cannot open file" error is because it has not been properly renamed...I am guessing when you renamed it, it still shows as a .bin file- so windows and your psp read it like this : nandimage.flash.bin
