Finally got it to worked. Went back down to 1.50 and up to 3.52 m33-4
and from there I was able to update to 3.80. ID storage keys had to be fixed, is what the problem was.

whats up, ok I have a fat psp 1.50 and I have been reading about these new CFW's , you said 3.71m33 plays old generation emulators correct? So I take it that 3.52m33-4 does not correct? also can you elaborate more on what 3.71m33 can't do. you said cheating devices, like? you also said screenshots which i can live without and then you said etc... like theres a lot more stuff. thank you for this information. I've had the original 1.50 since it first came out I've been waiting to hack it and now seems like the time , I want to play PSX games PSP backups and the old Gen emulators if thats possible, thank you oh yeah I also was reading about a n64 emulator is that real?

well now that you mention it lol yes i have a few questions.
and this should be easy I hope. I have a 1.50 fat psp the only thing I ever did with it was put emulators on it (easy stuff) I have been waiting for the right time to hack it, It appears that now a year or so later you can play ripped UMD's, ripped PSX games, N64 roms, and still play the old gen emulators like super nes and genesis. I didnt want to lose this feature because I dont think that there is nothing cooler than having all those consoles on my psp you dig, so I think that I'm ready. but im really kinda slow like when people say " it should look like this ms0:/ISO " I dont know what the heck they are talking about lol no offense so if your not to busy please lay it on me brother ...thank you in advance

lol well because its a very good post and you give people valuable information ,,,I use to keep up with the PSP upgrades downgrades and so forth mostly while in iraq but since i been home its been nothing but online 360 gears of war... and i lost track ...but at the time there was really nothing cool to me other than playing the old gen games on it...but now they got the slim psp and Custom Firm Wares<<<really strange to me but cool as hell ...and you can just do more stuff , i am really dying to play something like final fantasy 7 on my psp or fighters destiny from the n64 aww man i cant wait til you reply lol

hmmmm 1.5... that's actually an easy start for you, all that you have to do is simply upgrade through the least amount of custom firmwares as possible, links below. install them in descending order...

3.52 M33
3.52 M33-4
3.80 M33
3.80 M33-4
EDIT:3.80 M33-5(released two days after posting this =p)

just try following the readme's and you should be fine ^_^ otherwise, post in this thread =]

hello,
i have read alt of your forum and began to be confused so decided to post. From my research on the net i have deduced that i have a psp 1001 series and that it has the 2.71 firmware. the number IC1003 is on the iside of the game disc loader on the inside of the umd side. the mother board is a TA-082. i have read online this can be downgraded to the 1.5 fw and then i need to upgrade.

question

is their a tut anyone can show me on how to do this ? and what do i need i.e. what size memory card ?? and do i need a usb link to the computer to perform it ?? if so i need to go borrow a cable so just need to know.

thanks for any help you guys can give.

2.71 is one of the easiest to downgrade. Yes you need a usb cable and HERE is where you find the 2.71 downgrader.

well i have good news and i have bad news , the good news is I have managed to get most of my cso/iso's to work:) the bad news is N64 emulators suck! :( , also the reason that the cso/iso's wouldn't work the first time is because I have (FAKE MEMORY CARDS!) yes it true and I am pissed! I just spent like 80 bucks a few months ago on 2 4gb mem cards that read as unknown when I press (information), so to anyone that reads this, so you dont make the same mistake I did, make sure you check the information by pressing triangle in the media select screen when you first turn on your psp with the memory card inserted, they should read as (SUPPORTED), ok and its easy to be fooled to because the one's I have clearly say "Sony" on them, and came in a sony package as well, The largest and most valid memory card that I have now is a 1gb "Sandisk" brand memory stick which is the "ONLY" brand of memory stick that will ever recieve my money again :P

That's a pretty narrow minded comment if i've ever seen one, you do realise that there are fake Sandisk memory cards out there as well? Sony ones are just more prevelant as they have a larger market share. If you'd have bought them from somewhere you could TRUST then they would all be genuine...

I always advise to stick with local retail stores/Gaming stores when it comes to Memory Sticks. Yes it might be a little more expensive in the long run but it pretty much guarantees you will get a genuine Memory Stick.

As the old saying says. The cheap comes out more expensive.

hello,

i believe i have done something wrong with the psp. i followed all the direction , but i never saw : ****Read: The 1.5 enabler will tell you if you can run 1.5 or not. If it says you cannot press X to alter keys, don't continue till it says your settings will run 1.5***

so the screen is now black and the psp does nothing. i assume it is bricked now. i have read that it can be unbricked, can it be unbricked ???

@shokz and larrylje

I'm hearing you guys, crazy thing is I never even heard of a fake memory card until it "really" mattered(ISO/CSO'S), I'm going to see if I can return the shananagins and if not file a complaint or "something" If you guys know anyway to get these shammers where it hurts please let me know, Best believe i'm not taking this sitting down, But if Im just stuck with them I can take lemons and make lemonade, At least the sizes are some what accurate, I can pack one of them with movies and videos and the other with emulators and roms, music and pics etc... to bad I had to find out the hard way... but come on who could resist those sweet online deals! In the future I won't be as careless though

i got scammed about two years ago, 2 gig card for £40 when they were £80... and 1 gig was £40. It was a fake flash drive, only held up 1 gig but the computer insisted it was 2...

better to learn of a small mistake eh? ^_^

2 4 gig cards seems a waste.. why dont you get an 8 gig?

hello,

i have loaded an iso and a cso game into my psp and they both work.

i have the Simpsons.cso game , but it will not copy into the memory card . i get about 80 percent and it says:

****** "Cannot copy the simpsons game: the request could not be performed bacause of an I/O device error."*****

question:
1-What does that error mean ?????
2-do i need to convert the cso to iso ??
3- i have tried converting cso to iso with ultra iso and did not work, did i do something wrong ?
4- i also put some usa iso's into the iso folder of the psp like the other games i have ,but why can i not see them when i go to the folder in the psp after i unlink the usb connection and try to play ?

@monosoft

well believe it or not "thinking that I was [all knowing and powerful]lol...just found out about the 8gb mem stick not to long ago probably since I joined this forum and I already had the 2 4gb sticks before I knew about (cso/iso's)...I even heard there's a 16gb mem stick coming out soon, you know its weird I have a feeling after 16gb then the freakin 32gb stick will come out , then the 64gb stick, 128gb, and so on.... thats just a prediction I know im not the only one who's thought about that, anyway what im getting at is will our thirst for packing digital treasures into a small convenient piece of technology ever end? will it ever be enough? for me it probably never will be" if I wasn't just ripped off so bad and the realization that I if lose my job soon (may be kicked out the military) and that my little 500 dollars that i have saved up might have to last me a while and lets not forget about the neccesities "beer food internet(gaming surfing) cell phone 07 camry car payment(insurance[3 speeding tickets 1 accident in one year) cable tv"Super Bowl!!!!!GAS...... I would probably already have the 8gb coming in the mail:P , but now I would be lucky if I could get a legit 2gb stick and settle for switching games in and out lol :P its sad but I used christmas to con my loving mom to buy me call of duty 4 and mass effect for the xbox 360...im 26 years old I need help:)
