The PS3 40GB would be the go if it comes out, especially if the rumoured price drop is true, and you want to play games that are exclusive to the PS3.
As for Oner's post about the PS3 being able to to pump out more tech specs = better graphics etc, that doesn't worry me as an Xbox 360 owner. Reasons being, the graphics are good enough on the 360 to keep me and most people happy, and by the time developers work out how to take full advantage of the power of the PS3, the new Xbox will be out and more than likely crap on the PS3.
And that forces you to go out and again spend money on something that MS will only support for a short time just like they did with the original Xbox that came out after the PS2 and left before it also. I will never buy another MS console after the absolutely disgraceful practices MS pulls on it's customers. Why would people support something that breaks so easily as well as won't have any support after a few short years? I will never understand that. The old adage applies - "Fool me once shame on you, Fool me twice shame on me". Just my own HO....
I do agree with Oner on that. If not for the ease of modding the 360, I would not own one. Though I do enjoy most of my games, I prefer my PS3 and Wii to it any day. That being said, if a new Xbox comes along with the same modability, I will be all for it. If not, I don't think I will be running out to buy one.

Just a quick question how do you prefer the ps3 and the wii more than your 360 when you said you enjoy your games on your 360, games is that not the meat of a game console?
It is true that Microsoft have had some whoopsies with the 360, but where I am a 360 is half the price of a PS3, and if the new Xbox is in the same price range I will have spent the same amount on two Xbox's as I would have for one PS3, and if the new 360 is better than the PS3 then it's a win win situation.
I'm not anti-PS3, I'd love to have one but right now they're just too expensive.
