I ordered my Cyclowiz today. Was hard to find it since most of the Modchip retail stores in the USA are no longer selling Modchips plus allot of the Canadian sites no longer sell to US residents either.
I did find 1 site from Canada that had the Cyclowiz in stock and ship to the USA. Now I just hope it doesn't get hung up in customs.

There out of stock now.
Guess I was lucky when I ordered mine. I better get 1 cause they said they had them in stock when I called this morning. But now they say their out of stock.

yeah, I bet most places are going out of stock on cyclowiz's after the wiikey team dropped the ball.

The issue Wiikey is probably having is how to get the redesigned code onto the Modchip itself.
Wiikey updates are not flashed are they?
Can they even be flashed?

There have been a few patches released that claim they work but they don't.

you can rest assured that any download claiming to be some sort of fix isn't going to work unless its an authentic firmware update for the chip. The problem can't be fixed by changing the game, it has to be fixed by flashing the firmware on the modchip, and yes Larry, wiikey updates use a DVD method of flashing the firmware.

Anyone else notice this when you go to the Wiikey website's feedback page?

Unfortunately, we have had to remove the contact form and email facilities at wiikey.cn for the time being.
We would like to thank the huge number of people who have emailed us recently with their messages of support and encouragement regarding the SMG update. However, sadly, a small minority of people have been abusing our email facilities with multiple identical emails (thousands at a time) to as a way of expressing frustration that they cannot play SMG backups at the moment.
Therefore, in order not to let the problems with the website distract our attention from the more important issues, we have taken this step to disable the contact form and all wiikey.cn email addresses. We truly regret that this puts us out of touch with those who would simply like to offer constructive feedback and messages of support, but unfortunately there is no alternative available.
Please stay tuned to the News section for further developments! "
Looks like they have gotten a lot of angry e-mails. Lol.

DC2KEY - SMG works on mine - I saw that someone posted previously that it did not - or was not working on theirs.

Well I have d2ckey and I get Error #001 Unauthorized device has been detected...
It might has to do with the regions, Cause i'm trying to load ntsc game on a pal firmware..

Interesting - I just got my DC2 modded and SMG was the first game I got to work. I burned several and none would even recognize - but SMG did...
On a side note while playing SMG It locks up - so I'm not sure which is better an error at the out-set or lock-up when you are playing.

Guess I am getting a Wiikey.
I ordered the Cyclowiz but ModchipCentral sent me an e-mail today claiming they had to many Cyclowiz entered into their stock and actually didn't have any.
So instead of waiting for a month or 2 on a Cyclowiz I just told them to send me a Wiikey and they would refund the difference. Lets just Hope Wiikey comes out with that delivery system soon for their fix.

Iv been spending most of my time in the PSP section these days. But its the same over there as well. Answering the same questions over and over again.
I just got tired of the repetitiveness in the Wii section. At least there is a wider variety of questions to be answered in the PSP section and doesn't get as boring and repetitive as the Wii section does.
But if rumors are correct I read on another forum that the Wiikey team said in IRC that estimated arrival of the update is 1 week. But we have heard that before.

larry, you're active on the psp scene? I was one of the first to create guides and tuts for the psp section of afterdawn! I was around back in the early early days of psp hacking during the 1.0 and 1.5 firmwares before there were custom firmwares. Now I'm using m33 3.71-2 and I do downgrades for people all the time using a pandoras battery and magic mem card that I made. Crazy!
I don't think I ever saw you on there when I was actively involved. You're right, there are more people who are too lazy to search on that forum than the wii ones so I ducked out a while ago.

FYI To the people with SMG-ready demo discs at hand with no way to play them:
ANY patch for the game will STRICTLY NOT WORK!!! It's not an "issue" with the .iso but a problem with the firmware every modchip runs off of. D2C's chip worked fine right off the bat (for whatever reason) and Cyclowiz (grats) released an update 5 hours after the leak.
For most of us Wiikey users you can download the Firefox Addon "Notify" and have it continuously check the website atleast every minute.
Until your modchip's devs find a fix soon you might as well wait for the real, true game. I'm sad myself since I don't have a Cyclowiz or D2C :(

Does SMG contain a region update as well? i.e. Will brick/semi-brick out-of-region consoles. I am guessing that it does, but does anyone know for sure?

its pretty good that cyclowiz released a fix only 5 hours after the leak. Wish wiikey would take some tips from them.

Well for the record if you try to load the USA version of SMG with different region console that has d2ckey it will show you the same error message, like it did to me..
D2CKEY Site:
The USA version of SMG will not work on other region consoles, but we are confident that backups of other region versions of the game will work on other region consoles
