I already have the pandora battery, I just need the installer or w/e to make the memory stick
The installer is on the first post of this thread-unfortunately you need to be running cfw to use it. If you already have a battery, you will have to find another method of making a memory stick. Such as the 'totalnewbi' or a similar easy installer.

I can run totalnewbi with a CFW right?
If so then I'll use that one.

^^Do you mean without CFW? You can run the totalnewbi to make your memory stick, just not the battery.

Another option is the one found HERE-you can use that to make the memory stick as well...Its the original pandora setup, but at least it will get you where you need to be.

The battery has to be converted back in order to use it as a normal one. It will only boot to XMB if you have the magic one inserted and you dont hold the L trigger button during the boot. Let us only hope you saved your eeprom for the battery...

I have a PSP slim and an extra battery I just bought a memory stick I would like to use as a magic one and I want to unbrick a friend's fat PSP. In the installer, once I run it, will it say how to create a Pandora's Battery? Also, does a magic memory stick contain the installer and the renamed firmwares and that's it?

How's it going folks? Just thought I'd stop by and give a shout. The U.P.M.S. project is moving along nicely and we are going to be releasing an update to the installer soon. So until then I invite you all to come visit our Official site to get the most up to date information and download links for our work.

Post Edited for Correction, Thanks dEEz_nUtz

The installer can be used on a slim PSP that is already running CFW.

As long as your slim is running cfw-you can use this app-The battery creator is under step #2 -it also gives you the option to backup or restore your battery's eeprom..

@ovrfiendx-Thanks for dropping by, and thanks again for all your help over at the maxconsole forums-I included the updated link for the installer in the first post of this thread.

@BRONZ3gst- Not a problem..COOLnDRE actually just sent me a battery and memory stick in the mail, and I set it up for him...
I made sure to give proper credits on the first post so there is no misunderstanding. I just brought this amazing breakthrough over here as there were a lot of people having problems with the other guides here on AD...

Ok, thanks bud, your doing us proud here, maybe you would like to join us at our official site.

Trio has had a slight face lift and new function added. We are hoping to release new version soon.

Again sorry for the misunderstanding on my part.

What is the eeprom for? And where does it say how to make a magic memory stick?

The eeprom is for backing up your battery.
The actual installer installs the Magic MS. You can enable your battery to service mode in the UPMS installer.

So if I backup the eeprom, I can re-convert my battery to normal (in other words, do I need to back up the eeprom in order to re-convert the battery to normal)?

Not really but it's advisable to make a backup, if you restore your battery to normal then you only need to restore the serial back, you don't have to write the whole eeprom.

So how do I back up the 'serial back'? Also, I have the fat PSP bricked. Can I use just one battery with this guide (using the bricked fat PSP one) to fix the fat PSP? I have a CFW 3.71 M33-3 Slim PSP. So can I use just one battery, the fat PSP's to make this guide?

If you create the multi IPL, then you can use one battery to unbrick and use it as normal. Everything you need is in the installer. When starting up the installer, choose the first option. I don't know why you'd want to back up the eeprom because this installer allows your battery as a Pandora/Working one.

^^True..provided you have the "magic" memory stick inserted-otherwise your psp wont boot without it if you were to just leave the battery as a pandora..You would have to copy the IPL to another memory stick so you could just leave your pandora battery as is, and use a different memory stick for your games etc...

Hi, i just tried the upms. Works ok in my boys psp which has 340oe on it but on my bricked one i get power light but nothing else, mem stick light is off, screen is black, no buttons work. Ive tried pandora also and only difference there is that 3 lights (mem, wifi and power) all come on for 30 secs then go off, no buttons or screen etc. Closest ive found to someone with same problem fixing it is ninja5061 who i cant get hold of, in this link http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/39/552549 he reckons he fixed his but ive been told that using a different nand would wreck my bricked psp even more (if thats possible). Is there anything else i can try with upms to get this thing working please?

Its a fat. Think its either the flash or the nand stuff tho dont know enough about either. Its just im under impression that pandora battery and upms sort of bypass the psp and read straight from the mem stick. If thats the case i'd have thought that at least the menu should come up unless serious prob with hardware
