This is the extended Pandora boot menu.

I have installed everything, but in that menu, I do not have any of the options that are stated at the top of the thread. I do not have the cfw installer... i really need it
What shows up when you select the hellcat option from the main (first)menu (Ultimate Loader) is it a blank screen with just an arrow? If so, turn your wi-fi switch off and reboot pandora.

nvm, you have to turn off wi-fi. Man none of this stuff is in this tut... sorta sucks to find it all out on your own. But its better then nothing, and i must say its well done. The only think I want to ask is if i use cfw installer , that is the setting where there is no need to downgrade correct?

That's what the 150Kernel update is for. Obviously you need to be running on CFW 371-2 M33.

It took me a while to figure that out also...Except mine would just keep booting to 1.50 from the memory stick because I had that set as default-so I didnt even have a menu-it just kept booting to 1.50 over and over...until I found out to turn off the wi-fi switch-the it works fine...If you look in the hellcat menu (EPBM) it says something about the wi-fi switch...

Yes, if you are installing 3.52M33 it does automatically-however if you are using the DCv3 menu or the joker menu to update directly to 3.71M33-2, you have to apply the 1.50 kernel patch afterwards from the XMB (psp menu)...

Using the multi IPL causes my 2gb stick to become unreadable, is that normal?
My battery is the Sony (i think its official) extended 2200mAh battery, will this work?
When I hold L trigger and pop in the now Pandora battery, the power light will come on solid, and mem & wifi will constantly flash, ive held it down for 5min and still a black screen. Not holding L trigger will cause it to boot to xmb, and the "This Memory Stick cannot be read" message displays.

Fat running 3.40oe

That is not normal-I would try using a smaller memory stick, around 512MB to be safe...It sounds like you have a bad/fake memory stick if you are getting read errors like that. It seems to work enough for the psp to boot into XmB if you dont hold the L trigger button-Maybe start from scratch and remake the memory stick with the installer...Have you had trouble with your memory stick before?
so i tried a buddies mem card, it worked flawlessly. thank you.
i thought my 2gb stick is genuine Sony, its the high speed type as well. im gonna try and find out if this stick is genuine.

With your 2GB inserted, just go to one of the memory stick icons in the psp menu under MUSIC, VIDEO, or GAME and hit triangle so you get the information sidebar..Press X and it will show your memory stick status..Where it reads "Magicgate:________" it should only say "supported" after Magicgate if its genuine-otherwise if it says "unknown", "unsupported", or is just blank-then you have a fake.

Use that guide. It will definitely tell you if you got a fake or a genuine memory stick.

My MS said "Unknown", but I knew it wasn't a fake because it's fine and it's been down to 400 MB and mines work.
So I had some search and found out my MS was real.
So I created a guide to help people.

P.S. My memory stick's capacity is 4GB

Hi. I've been away from the scene a while. I have a 1.50 psp (phat) that can run homebrew, etc.

Now, I'm re-entering the scene (because my nephew got a new PSP (slim, star wars edition, with 3.60 firmware) and wants his modified too.

So, after doing some reading, I've been able to convert my phat battery into a Pandora's battery. But I've had some difficulty making a "Ultimate Magic Stick." I've tried manually doing it but it tends to hang when I try to do the "extended menu" feature.

So I gave up on that and was trying to do the easy installer. Now, here's my problem. I can't seem to get the .cso to run.

I'm using DevHook .52 on my phat with 1.50 firmware (emulating 3.11)to run the .cso but it gives me an error saying "This game could not be started. The data is corrupt." I'm assuming I'm doing something wrong here.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!!!

Install CFW (OE or M33) on the Phat PSP. Then in recovery set the UMD Mode to "Sony NP9660 - no UMD". Then run the CSO.

The problem is you have to run the cso from custom firmware, not from devhook emulation...I would look into updating your 1.50 to 3.52M33 to start with-then you can at least get the installer working..There is a guide on the first page of this forum for updating your firmware.

@polishrob
You need to install the 352updaters in step 4. Then save it's path as explained before in EBM. Then run it.

@BTFan
Just run the 4th option in step 2 to make it a Pandora battery.
Then if you wish to return the battery to normal just run the 3rd option in step 2. You could also run the 2nd option in step 2 to restore it to normal but it is not needed just the serial is needed. The 5th option is to use a fake serial to return the battery to normal, this is not advised as it can cause bugs although I have not personally seen any bugs that it is supposed to cause.

Step 3 will install the Pandora Menus that you want
Step 4 will install any extras that you want

OK, last question, just to be sure so this what I should do:

- Select step one
- Select step two and select the backup eeprom option
- Select step three and choose what I want
- Select step four and choose what I want

Is this all correct?

@BTFan
You have to run the option in step 2 to make the battery Pandora.
Step 3 only installs the menus no extras.
So if you want all the functions the extras in step 4 are needed.
It will also function without the extras just with limited features.

Ok a break down of step 4.
Ready?
Key cleaner
352M33 udaters
150Kernel
PSPFiler
SEPlugins
Legal Nand Backup(for Phat only)

Can all be installed directly after step 3.
Maxsafe
This should be installed with the hellcat folder active.
Use Uloader to activate the hellcat folder and exit.
Then run installer and install Maxsafe.
NandTool
This can be installed in all folders unless maxsafe is already installed in hellcat.
Then just install it to the other two.
Depends on what you want.
Just activate the folders you want to install NandTool to with ULoader then run the installer.

Hope this helps. Due visit our official site a new release is coming.

That is correct...Just follow the steps in order for the installer-and for step #4 where you can install the add-ons, just install everything to make the most of your memory stick. Otherwise when you go to select the options in either the joker or hellcat menu, you will find they are not available..

Your best bet is to do the following:
-install the Multi-IPL from step #1
-backup your battery's eeprom and create the pandora battery from step #2
-Install the TRIO from step #3 and apply the PEM patch afterwards
-Install everything on step #4

OK because I plan on returning the MS to normal when I finish (by formating it) and the battery and when I get a new battery I will convert it to Pandora forever so NOW, do I use what you said, even if I'm returning to normal afterwards?:

-install the Multi-IPL from step #1
-backup your battery's eeprom and create the pandora battery from step #2
-Install the TRIO from step #3 and apply the PEM patch afterwards
-Install everything on step #4
