If you are running 3.80M33+, you will need to install that fatms371.prx in order to continue. But it sounds like you got it worked out-so thats a good sign.

ok--

I had UPMS working fine, until the gay "3.93 CFW" came out... I installed it, then my UPMS wouldn't work anymore. I need to re-install it. But, if I use my battery without my MemStick (1GB), my PSP won't load. So I can't format it. Also, I'm bricked, so I have to use my bros PSP.

This Sucks

You will need the UPT installer to use on FW 3.93. Get the latest version, re-install on your MS and all should be well.

You know in the newest one it tells you what Mobo Version is? It says TA-081 on mines and is clearly not because there's no text on my UMD slot. I'm confused... Is this accurate? XD

EDIT: OK, some help please. I have 3.90M33 and installed the UPMS. I try to start the UPMS - yes I've done everything correctly - and I have met an old friend... The dumb MS and Wi-Fi LED flash. They keep on flashing until I remove the battery.. Any help? I just removed the UPMS and I'm installing it again. What can be the problem?

Grab the newest version of UPT previuosly known as UPMS. Re-format your card via the UPT option. Do not re-format with PSP though.

Re-install Multi-IPL and UPT.

Make sure you have removed any themes if you are on 3.90 m33.

In terms of the Mobo Version we tested it across a whole load of psp's and it proved to be accurate. I have 2 TA-081 and neither have the id numbers behind the UMD lid.

I was just wondering if anyone could post of a picture of the UPMS & Recovery Menu because my CFW psp has a broken screen and you're unable to see anything other than the screen flashing when you change menus.

Edit: I thought I should mention that on the no-screen psp I want to make a magic memory stick and pandora battery and since there will be more than one menu could you post those too.

Once this is done I can then sort out my untouched 2.01 psp ;)

this guide was amazing! like i was looking everywhere to figure this out! and it works with the datel battery tool! the only downside is that you need custom firmware to use this guide! but other than the this guide worked out great for me!

you'll have to remake your memory stick to get the time machine on there.

NAND backup is used for making a copy of your psp's internal memory (or NAND)while it is in a working state-and allowing you to save it to your memory stick or computer. Your NAND can be restored should something go wrong with your psp (ie: brick) Think of it like the system restore function on your windows-based computer.

IDStorage is where your psp's hardware information is stored such as your motherboard type, mac address, etc.-that is also located within the NAND.

The keys are bits of information pertaining to the psp's hardware-Think of that like your registry on your computer.

I would not recommend messing with anything pertaining to NAND, IDStorage, or the keys on your psp-This is for advanced users only, and you could potentially render your psp useless if you dont know what you are doing..

^^I would make a backup, yes. That way should yours become corrupted-you can restore it to a working state. You dont really need it for anything aside from your own personal use. The UPMS has a built-in generic NAND used for unbricking other psp's-The IDstorage is unique to each psp, so you would have no use for that either other than for your own psp.
