Come on people, give the wiikey team a couple days before you start bashing them. Besides, we dont have a working rip yet so unless you imported the game it dosent matter.
At least wait till we have a working rip.

Seriously guys, unless you're going to make a patch yourself before the Wiikey team does I don't think anybody has the right to bash on them. All we're doing is waiting and whining. Just chill out and enjoy the excitement waiting to be able to play the game. After all of this mess is over and everybody is capable of playing the game on their modchip, even the Wiikey, is it going to matter how long it took them to make the patch. I'm just excited the Wiikey team is still around and willing to help despite all of the rumors about the Wiikey dying.

how bout getting a save file too, I don't want to spend the next month unlocking everyone. I'm sure some crazy asian kid's got everyone by now.

Quick question though,when do you think the wiikey team is gonna release the patch? And how are most people gonna download a copy (torrenting/direct download)?

But really i do agree, there are tons of freaks that have already unlocked all the characters. Time to spread the love people! We don't care if we have the game, we at least want the save file! Watch it will be like guitar hero 3 and be copy locked.

Ok besides asking where to download this let's also stop w/ the 'fake' reports from members here.
If you haven't actually played, ripped it, whatever do not post that you did just for entertainment or to get people going.
And no racist/insults/name calling whatever even if the poster 'lied'. Let's all try and play nice - remember we're here to help :)

they werent really targeted by nintendo. they just never enabled dual layer Wii discs. Thats really all they have to do for their fix.

Who knows what wiikey team is up to. Most people are likely to download the copy from torrents. As for people like me with wiikey's I am hoping that LilNguyen was right about doing a quick disc swap with SMG.

Well i own a copy of ssbb and i cant even play it! but im not complaining about it like some people do. I spent 94.00 on it now do you think i would have done that if i didnt think the wiikey would deliver? they will, plus if you didnt buy the game you have no right to complain just cause you cant DL it yet or the wiikey doesnt work yet. let them do their jobs GO WIIKEY TEAM!!!

Alright this may be a stupid question, but suppose the game is only able to be ripped as a Dual Layer. Are there any suggested Dual Layer burners that would work better? Or would any old Dual Layer burner I could buy work just fine?

Thank god, I thought penguin and I are the only ones who had any faith in the Wiikey team. I'm not sure how long it will take but I know Wiikey wil come through with this issue. I know I'm not sweating it because my copy of Brawl isn't even shipping until Monday or Tuesday next week. I'm just going to enjoy the excitment waiting for somebody to rip the game or for Wiikey to make an update.

Yeah I seriously doubt the update will take more than a day or so to do. Its a very simple thing to just enable DL. They aren't really changing that much. Its the backup thats going to take a while.

nono. If they don't make the update the US release won't even work on WiiKey. However, I'm sure their update will come out LONG before then. And then you won't have to wait for the US release.

I agree. I don't expect my Wiikey to last forever, so if it does stop working for new games I'm not gonna be upset. Thanks to Wiikey I've gotten to play tons of games that I probably never would have played without it.
I have faith that the Wiikey team will have an update out soon for Brawl though. I'm really glad to know that they're still doing such a great job supporting us.

Ok don't get excited because its probably another peice of shyt torrent but this has been posted today, one seeder currently.
Im pretty sure i probably can't direct link a torrent, but go to btjunkie.org and search brawl, theres a 02/01 entry as of maybe an hour ago. 24 leechers already. Yipes.
Couldn't tell ya if it works or not, or what it is, its bigger then a regular game torrent. No idea, but hey if you don't have anything else to do come join me in being teased.
