especially wanted to know if anybody heard that original copy wouldnt work on modded jap wii but yes on usa modded wii whyyyyyy?
is it real cuz i got wii jpa modded that plays original copy why wouldnt it play ssbb?

So I've registered to say one thing...or mor of a question...There is a method to backup 360 games/dump em. The swap method using another DL movie of data on DL....
Has anyone tried this yet...?
And yes i know it has said to have been dumped...but just a wonder...

well i can suppose that if it worked on wii usa moded d2ckey it should work on wii jap d2ckey or the worst would be that the fucking bricking stealth update just apply on moded wii jap any thread or ideas plz?

Look at the update progression there. It says it's ripped 100% and being uploaded. But there was never an update that said it worked on JPN Wii/Cyclowiz/D2CKey. Is that just assumed?
Pretty much here it is in a nutshell since people aren?t really reading the previous pages.
A guy in japan created a quick and dirty command line ripper that works on Smash. It has continuously ripped a 100% backup. He was unable to do any burns of it. From what I understand at this point the goobs in that channel used it and made another ISO that apparently at least somewhat works.
The last part is assumption based on the fact that WiiTools seems to show that the ISO is whole and real. This was the last thing posted before Wiinewz got ?Smash?ed.
This is speculation: Now the next step is get that ISO in the hands of the WiiKey team to find a solution for that chip.

From a few of the videos running an original copy on a USA wii gives you a update that apparently doesn?t have a particular region lock. This was evidenced by someone updating their USA wii and it gave them two sets of channels but the game still booted. I?m assuming that it is just a dual layer update for the system. Thus it doesn?t have a real particular region associated.
We will see though, now that a ISO has been made people can tinker with it and find out what we can and cannot do.

An ISO hasn't been made. The dumper was fake. Xander said it himself. Now everyone in the efnet IRC is trying to ddos attack his IP.

I'm waiting and seeing. I hung out in that smash channel all night last night and in addition to the obnoxious level of idiocy and spam they didn't have any progress. Now they all of a sudden got it to work? Hmmm... Plus if the amount of people in that channel DDOS that guys little hole in the wall site it would be dead right now. Right now its working just fine.
I was warned before I started hanging around in there to take everything with a grain of salt, after experiencing it I know why.

The dumper isn't fake... The ISO that was "being uploaded" was fake and the guy with it had no contact with the Wiikey team like he claimed. I really don't see what the big deal is, this news isn't that bad. We certainly aren't "back to square one."

I'm not complaining or anything. I agree, we're not back at square one, and yes I know that dumper is in fact real. I just hate trolls. Basically, they are getting enjoyment out of messing with us. Sorry, it's just that I don't like receiving false information. However, wiinewz said it was unlikely to be real in the first place. I don't mind too much. It's just that trolls are annoying and waste our time wouldn't you agree :]

i know theres a few afterdawn users who both have the original japanese game and the LG drive, and you can dl the dumper from wiinewz, so please somebody just upload it to usenet so theres no link exchange involved. please. im not really condoning piracy even though it sounds like it. i have the game preordered but i just straight up cant wait another month and a half.

Dude patience! It will be up soon enough. The ripper just came out earlier today US time. It will take people a little time to get and test it.

Kuroishi speaks with allot of sense (which often is lost in times like these).
Lets just chill out, it will be done when it's done, no amount of begging/asking/praying will speed it up (maybe the offer of a reward to the first group to get a working copy up would, but probably not by much).
I'm sure anyone with the ability to try this, are doing so at the moment.

I know this topic has been brought up once but it was way back and I forgot the answer. Does DVD decrypter,nero burning Rom or Alcohol120% support dual layer iso burning?
If not I'd like to know the best software that can do it.

Here's the deal since this is getting sooo out of hand and some seem unable to understand warnings - asking where to download or to seed, upload to a newsgroup etc. will get you banned immediately.
