If you buy the Pal version when it's released I don't see why not... anyone?

It should not be a problem. If Jap imports can play against people in the Us I dont see it being an issue for pal users to join in the mix.

hi
Just finish dl ssbb from a guy with megaupload and after unraring the file it come to 8,311,680. My question is that I see it mention here that it support to be 8,511,160. Has anyone download the 8,311,680 and got it to work. I would but I need to go pick up another burner. My burner just die and now it pick up the driver but won't read any disk. The megaupload version of ssbb is from Wizard. I believe he might have download it then upload it with megaupload to help me and other out.
thank

I got this at first also, but it is supposed to be that size when you view it as a winrar file. You will get the real size of the file if you click it and go to properties, and then check the size from their it will be different.

Does anyone have a solution for the recovery disc not fixing the corrupted wii (70% hack)? I've read that many people are experiencing the same problem, but no solutions have been provided. What do you do when the recovery disc won't work?

binkie7 is it safe to update my modded Wii (Clyowiz) with the SSB update. I do not have a switch installed yet... I want to make sure it would not disable the mod chip.

@jeffrey23
Try this thread - if you haven't already- link. I think in the last few pages someone posted what they did to get it to work again.
@Bearwalf
Not really sure but afaik the only chip having a problem w/ Brawl is the Wiikey. Nothing about it disabling a chip at all.
I'm pretty sure there are posts in this thread about the CycloWiz chip.

Thanks,

The switch is to do the update from dvd. You need to follow the on screen instructions using the switch.

Well i've used 3 d/l discs on my wii trying to get it to work with no luck.
I've got a PAL wii with 3.2e firmware and a wiikey with 1.9g firmware.
I can start the game fine and it gets past the loading screen before saying the disc cannot be read in green text on an off-white background.
the 3 discs i have tried are all TDK dual layer+R, burnt on imgburn at 2.4x using the wizard iso, one brickblocked with layerbreak set manualy to 2084960, one brickblocked with layerbreak set to auto, and one not brickblocked with the layerbreak set to auto. Any ideas on what could be causing the disc read errors the main possibilty im considering is either the media or maybe the laser.

For those who got SSBB to work with backup, anyone got into problem with disk read error during various cutscenes in the storyline game?
The game plays fine but when it gets to cutscene it kinda chugs and then sometimes just disk error and i have to take it out and put it in.
now it's getting to the point where before it goes to a cutscene it just black screens and wont let you reinsert the disk.

Same here, after getting about %40 into the single player the cut scenes really start to give DRE's...
I just skip them anywhoos, and besides, multi player brawl runs fine and thats all i care about (save single player for unlocks)...

Hopes for little help here, I burned the Wizzard ISO to a Verbatim DL+R and booted the game. At first, the intro can play for 1 or 2 sec, and then it makes a DRE. But i just skip it, and the games run fine. I have got some problems though. First of all, i get a lot of DRE during cutscenes. Second, i can't play the Masterpieces. Third, sometimes i can't start the game without a white screen after the Now Loading..
I used IMGburn to burn the game at 2.4x. I've got a pal wii with 3.2E update and 1.9g Wiikey firmware. Btw, got the Japanese version on a DVD5. Might my problems be due to a bad burn, wrong settings (didn't change anything whatsoever during the burn), or maybe something else?
Any help will be appreciated :)
