HI THERE,

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE FLASH WIZARD IMAGE IF YOUR USING AN ETHERNET CABLE,
YOU WILL ALSO NEED A FLASH PROGRAMME, I USE FILEZILLA.
MAKE SURE ALSO HAVE A CROSS OVER ETHERNET CABLE OR THAT YOU USE A HUB OF SOME SORT.

BUT AGAIN TO REPEAT THIS HAS ALL BEEN EXPLAINED FAR BETTER BY CG SCOTT AT SOME STAGE IN THIS THREAD.

HAVE A READ BACK AND SEE WHAT YOU CAN SEE TO HELP.

BEST OF LUCK

MARK ..

Oops. So I downloaded the latest image from megaupload and eventually successfully connected to my Dreambox 500c using a crossover cable and Dreambox Control Centre. In the DCC tools menu I selected the image for "update flash image" and then executed it.
Now my DB will not even boot - it powers up, shows the digital kaos logo then shuts down and repeats. I cannot even access the box menus or establish a LAN connection anymore. Have I killed my poor box? Any suggestions how to fix this would be appreciated....

mate, you have totally fucked it up lol

you flash the image via a null modem cable and using dream up software

what you have done is use the FTP method via DCC, for this you just need to copy files across from your C drive to the relevant VAR folder on the dbox.

Have flashed two boxes successfully (with Chris's image) but my brother's box (which had a different original image) won't work. Scanning with Bruteforce UK and NTL plus NTL cable ire and picking up nothing, mostly no valid transponder. Ideas anyone?

Right heres the crack guys. Everything you need is in this image simply go to menu and Autosearch transponder. Scroll right to the bottom of the list and choose your provider i.e Bruteforce UK Chorus etc.

Do a scan once this is finished go to a premium channel. I always select bravo.

Click info for few seconds restart the cam and WAIT!

Within a few minutes you will have everything.

GUYS I HAVE TSETED THIS BEFORE I POSTED IT UP SO I KNOW IT WORKS.

Also i deleted the keys from the keylist.txt as it rolls and adds its own keys for your provider so you will only have 2 lines in your keylist txt.

With the dreambox switched off start up the dreamup program.
Then untick use network box. Then click connect.Sartup the dreambox.

It will connect. The flash box will then open.Click this it will ask for image. The image you download open that. Then it will flash the image to your box.

When flashing the image it will ask you to do a flash erase click no.

When image had downloaded connect the box back up.

Scan using N*L bruteforce

Pick a strong channel rte1 then hit the info button to turn off/on evocam leave for 5 mins then Bobs your Auntie.

Thanks again. I have followed your instructions to the letter but still to no avail! Maybe it takes a while longer to connect.Or maybe I am using the wrong version of dreamup! I have the dreamup window open alongside this one and this is bugging the heck out of me!
