That firmware is for fixing the boxes that have an 8% problem not giving you an extra 8% i suggest you reflash with the 18/4/08 and you should get them after you rescan or take your channel file off it
possible your signal is to strong now that can also be a problem
thanx i ll try that

HI. I'm new here but ive been lurking for ages. i recently tried to update my Eurovox max box. I'm sure the it is a red box i.e. eurovox max 2007.
I tried to update the box with the red box software. but it wasn't working. I even tried to update it with the blue software but that wasnt working either. i kept on getting a message from the loader saying
"This software does not fit your this machine"
I then tried to upload the Eurovox max V firmware onto it and it worked.
Does this matter at all? Will this cause me problems? How come the loader let me upload software that was meant for a Max V box.

it is possible you have a clone box if you have you need to check it before it dies
look in thru the vents and see if you can see any red paint on the board if you have switch off your box straight away there is no clone safe for red i am sorry to say only blue

Hey all, i got the USB converter cable and the female to female cable.
I got the UFL max downloader too, but when i click download i get the message "This firmware is not fit for your reciever"
My friend also gave me 2 other programs to try , DnupMan and Voxer
However both of these require .bin files which i cannot locate.
Anyone have any ideas as to how i should proceed ?
I can upload from the machine to my computer saving as a .CDF file

thats because you are using the wqrong firmware for your box check the tuner on your box, leading from the rfin on the back of the box if it measures back 8 nothches its red if it measures back 12 its a blue look in here to see if you have a clone http://www.freewebs.com/dooby2oon/ all firmware for the 3 boxes are ufl loaders(except the blue clone which you will need dnupman or voxer for, no fix for the red clone) so no need to use a bin file they can all be found in eamos library in the eurovox folder under my pic

if you are using a usb to rs232 adaptor make sure its installed onto your computer with mini disc that you get with it .. make sure you also have a null modem cable db9f to db9f and not an rs232 serial cable

sorry elocinth2 looked back on last night is it the same cable you used to flash the other two boxes?if so i had a similar problem last week and literly had to hold the null modem in place at the back of the box and jocky around for a bit till the pc picked up the box takes a bit of patience and you will need to keep closing and opening the loader and keep your hand steady.

I had a look on the website to see if i had the Red or the Blue box. The tv tuner at the back only came as far as the eight slot on top. i had a look through the slots to see if there was any red paint on the screws on the board. i couldnt see any. but i may be missing it??
Also, i flipped down the front of the box, and looked at the components and they looked like they were not the clone parts. Got it from your sig....... http://www.irelandeurovox.com/eurovoxclones.htm
I did it for a friend, and he said that the Eurovox came in a red box.
Would the software allow me to upload the software onto the wrong box?
