yeah sure, we can work things out. PM me ok, PM me so we can work things out.

I found a bricked psp a year ago and me and my friend smashed it. But a week later we heard about pandora. oops...

yea yea i surely tell when it's done (or destroyed :S)

by the way, i was just testing to fit the wires from pobo, resistor and these things without soldering to my psp.

i wouldn't want to take pobo off so i'd like the wires go like from power points-left and down passing the ribbon and between yellow thing to left side of pobo.

i've broken one of the black things what keep the pobo in place. (the upper one is broken) and if i break the second one, that would be :<

@PSP3000w
I'll PM you.

@MAPESA
That would be bad man. It can be pretty tricky at times dealing with this tiny stuff.

UAAAH! the tiny black thing where i need to solder the triggermod wire, has broke off!!!!!

then i accidentally dropped some solder to pobo, and it connected the 2 spots where there would be the black thing!

my whole psp is not destroyed still. i can hear the startup sound and memstick led is blinking at start.

power led is on too,but ...it is boosting!? it is WAY MORE brighter than charging led. what should i do now? i think DX'S pobo's would be good option.

and yeh, i tried to put lcd with ribbons on without cage(shouldn't matter) and there was nothing to see in lcd..? the ribbons were in for sure?? is this some serious problems?? or can i just buy new powerboard(s)?

umphh...i'm afraid that my psp is going to be just some spare parts?

THAT would be really bad (for me :S)

If all this has just happened on the pobo, then you should get a couple of new ones (from DX). Not that expensive and really handy. A new motherboard however will set you back way more though.

That brighter LED you got there may be because of the bridging of the two points. When you get bridges like that I suggest using desoldering braid. It's like a sponge for solder (instead of water).

phew..i'm going to order those DX pobos.

and i havent barely touched anything else than pobo, so i'll guess mobo will be okay. and it is kinda expensive.(mobo)

i haven't even heard of desoldering braid, i'll guess i'll be okay without them. but good to know.

so do you think there are no problems at all in motherboard?
(lcd did not work in my test..?) i dont know if it works when i have all assembled tho...

and btw i found an old broken rc toy at dad's garage.(totally broken and smashed), so i ripped some thinner wires inside of it. the wire i got is only black with no else colours but it will be ok.

within 1 hour i'll order em. just need to say to dad. then i'll order. 3 will be enough :>

Just tried to solder the wires to my broken pobo. i think i got em both good and strong soldered. (dont break off when pulling)

and i did that soldering with my usual soldering iron, there was NO fine tip as it should be. (not great job, but enough).

when my pobos arrive, ill do it. maybe even at home.

As for the LCD not turning on, I would double check the connections (ribbon cables). I've never tried it without the cage on but it shouldn't make a difference.

For the soldering of the pobo, I can say that practice makes perfect. ;)

my dad probably has to make credit card only cos of this.

pffff..tired of waiting

Well I've bought from DX before and everything went ok. Only bad thing was the shipping (took like 14 days). So you might want to pay extra for express or something.

Well I'm based in the states, and DX is chinese I believe. I know of another place you could get the pobo from. Right here at llamma.com
I have ordered from them many times before, they take like 5 days for shipping (and their based in the states). Only thing is they charge $23.99 for each one (pobo).

I got time...still havent ordered, dads gotta make the card...

but WHAT THE HELL??? 23,90 is not SO bad price, but i just noticed, psp stock faceplate 79,90 ?!?! i can get a new PSP with that!

but. i order pobos from DX when dad has the card. doesn't matter if 1 or 2 are fakes( e.g X wont work), since i only use one. and theyre so cheap, 3.79.

edit - and i live in Finland. not U.S

Well, it just sounds like little kids writing "lollollollololololoool xdddddddd lollol xdddd"

edit - and i think you didn't even smile when you writed "lol" :S
everybody just adds "lol" and i bet most of them aren't laughing.

and the real news: dad just went to bank and got the visa thing pending. now i have to wait two weeks the card coming.

and when two weeks have gone, dad got the card. Then i have to wait another two weeks pobos coming. Then, i can maybe do the mod. at last. :<

Well it wasn't a full blown laugh you know. More like a small laugh, still a laugh though. All will come in time I suppose... I mean I still haven't got started on my RazorX install. Going to try it today though.

Ok. tell me how it goes..?
and with that so hated "lol" thing, pfff...Forget it all. but i think you understood what i meant.

btw still waiting the card...

edit - and i forgot to mention im gonna get the silver ring(very scratched) and paint it shiny red. and those buttons are gonna be red too :) + red trigs (leds light em) and MAYBE clear faceplate.

another thought - clear faceplate makes psp look cheap toy what comes with mcdonalds happy meal- i stick with black.

add: what do you think about:

black psp
with stock faceplate,
red trigs,
red buttons,
red ring. ?

My RazorX install is not coming out as planned. I got everything soldered in but that spring for the analog stick(s) was just hard to work with. I bent it many times and now the analog stick on the left won't go up. :(

The RazorX does work, but only when the PSP is not closed up. So right now I'm trying to make the RazorX/nub part thinner. I was able to get two mods down successfully though. Made the trigger led mod have a switch (on/off) by wiring it to the hold switch). Also had to take out the AC adapter/charge thing, so I did a USB charge mod. So now my PSP charges and transfers data through USB.

Think your setup will look pretty cool, might want to wire in a switch somewhere though. That way you won't always have to have them on (like in the day). Will save battery life as well.

I dont care about batt life since i charge it usually (when my psp is working) every night.

and i dont want to ruin hold. its not SO useful, but still. and those 2 leds willl take only some like..5% batt life? am i right?

but i think..it would be easier to wire in a hold switch, would it? the points are bigger,so easier. hopefully the DX pobos wont be poor quality, like some buttons wont work :<

i'll wire to those points they are always on.

and oh, i saw a commercial on sum magazine and there was shiny metal-paint 400ml some 6,50$. i think i'll buy it and paint at least the faceplate and those other things above. but if faceplate will be red, buttons will be black.

and with those your mods, usb charge would be okay. i dont need it tho since i have the yellow power plug.("charging thing")

and Good luck with that RazorX !

just one thing: got some 400ml of that red spray paint.
Not Krylon Fusion, since i haven't seen it anywhere on Finland,
so i went to local hardware shop with my dad and bought some ordinary red spray paint.

now i got these psp buttons painted. if i get the silver ring off without bending it, i'll spray it too.

and i made paypal account and everything, and ordered those pobos some 5 days ago. still waiting... :3

+ i need one 10ohm resistor cos i lost the one i had. and some thinner wire. dad said he can get em from his job place.

And do you have the RazorX working now?
