It gives you 2 options for the factory default either 6952 or 6887, use either as it doesn't matter, just make sure when you powerscan in user installations that you change the symbol rate back to 6875.

the only cables you need to plug in is the power lead and the null cable .

hey all, im new.
i recently acquired this cable for updating my eurovox ex5000 pvr.

however when i tried from my xp laptop and my vista pc i hav connection issues. it just says waiting for response from the receiver. When i connected from a true com port on an older pc with the so called 'null modem cable' it still came up with the same issue. Do you think it is the null modem cable the problem...

I had the same problem when i bought the same cable off ebay,it wouldnt work either so i bought one from maplins and it worked no bother

do you think this guy is selling dodgy null modem cable? I might try and get one from work. which null modem rs232 cable would you recommend. a belkin ?

hi Guys,
1st time caller, long time listener!
Just wondering if anyone can help with the upgrade for my Eurovov TX.I have read that the fix wasn't in place yet on page 1
Any help will be appreciated as i am now without tv for 3 weeks!!

Thanks for that guys.Was able to upgrade from pc in work.Now hopefully it will work when i get home.I presume i just follow the instructions from page 1 after download is successful?
Apologies for the dumb questions but i may aswell be looking into a field!

guys trying to flash a new ex5000 pvr here for a friend having no luck, downloading keeps failing at 89% tried using ufl ex5000 dated 1/12/08 and 5/12/08 and also the older one 15/7/08. have deleted these files and downloaded fresh ones incase any got corrupted downloading, using a good null modem cable on xp from serial port on a pc. here is what happens. seinding 100% ok writing at 17% stb stops flashing dnld then at 48% starts flashing again. at 62% stb starts going in and out of standby 4 bars flashing on and off . at 89% then doadloading failed. any help ?

hey Hiteck yea i tried the factory reset and also disabled all firewall and antivirus software running and had no other application running of course i disconnected from the net first. and the stb was bought from a very good dealer well mentioned here so i dont think its a clone if the ex5000 pvr is cloned at all. also i have read up here for hours before posting seeing was there any fix posted, not having much luck with these "boxes" as setting up a digivox-t here as well which patched first go using same cable and pc but im disappointed with picture quality but thats another story as this post is for the ex5000 pvr

Hi, I followed your instructions and flashed my ex5000 pvr and plugged it into my tele and all I get is a black screen with the remote only being able to turn it on/off. I've since tried reflashing it and still no joy, also double checked the aerial connections. The only thing I can see different is your instructions say version 2.1 detected wheras mine says version 2.0

Where did you buy your box from. I've seen the with eurovox blue CLONES but not with the new ex5000pvr.
