I read previously someone said they are now running on Nagra3 ? Sorry if silly q but what`s that mean ?
Is there a counter that the eurovox max can do to this ?
Virgin is preparing the launch of Nagra Vision version 3 smart cards to further enhance network security for its Cable TV customers. These new smart cards will increase the encryption capabilities of the existing set top boxes and introduce new features for blocking access to non paying customers and enhanced "On Demand" security. It is rumoured that Virgin is planning to issue all customers with new smart cards as part of a "self install" policy. Watch this space for more information as soon as its available.
Thanks for the update. So I guess that means at the moment we`re just waiting for the fix for the lost channels & nothing can be done to recover them currently ?

Not at the moment i'm afraid, its the sit and wait game now, and let the firmware developers get on with their job, hopefully if the situation isn't too worse to be out of their control.

Just think of it as a gift from us to the company so their employee's dont get bored out of there ***** sitting around and doing nothing. If it gets too serious a firmware update may not help, but i'm not sure what the likelihood of this would be..

If someone is selling the fix, don't buy it!!
Whatever you say, say nothing when you talk about you know what for if you know who might hear you, you know what youll get. Youll be sent off to you know where for you would not know how long. Maybe I could search through the threads so you dont have to ??

Hitech i now have a roblem when i installed teh new eurovox max 2006 non clone firmware on my box..
i did a previous firmware download on my eurovox max 2006 blue and it worked fine, however when i flashed it to the new update 30/11/08.. downloaded from the first page, the flashing is succesful, however when i hooked it up the tv, the channel came on, it froze and then my tv said NO signal, as in it cant detect the box anymore..
i also press up and down on the reciever, and it doesnt move from the figures "2324"
and there were no errors in the flashing
HELP ?:|

(or have i understood it wrong..)
and where it says to tune your telly, is that to get the eurovox menu to display on screen?
my tv is new, so there isn't no manual tuning option for it... :|

Urgently Important
When i flashed my eurovox blue max 2006 with the appropriate 30/11/08 Firmware, the update was successful, i was able to load my channel data on normally, but i noticed a huge different with the box after the update. When the box is on standby the LCD reads 12:00 and the light is obviously read, however when i turn it on the LCD changes to "2324" and hey the Red light doesnt turn onto green? does this mean i've busy my box :| update and everything was succesful, since the green light isn't on is this why my tv cannot detect the eurovox through scart?
Please someone help me this is extremely important!!

Instead of using a scart lead you have to use a RF cable, plug it in the TV/VCR out at the back of the box (see pic) then plug the other end in to the TV then tune your TV in, if you cant tune it in you will have to do it on another TV. Now follow the rest of the details above. Got to go back out but will be on later, best of luck.

Cheers, but my previous post is more accurate, the green light doesnt come on, when it gets off stand by(red)..
it shows that there is something wrong with the box because it hasnt ever done this, and it shouldn't either..
and looking forward to your reply... thanks.

Try switching off the power from the EV, then swithc back on: this often resets the box.
