I was in Maplins in Dublin yesterday talking to the techie guy about techie stuff & the guys informs me he was speaking to a person from NTL who reckons Nagra 3 has been cracked in Manchester.

Initially I tried to fobb him off but he was adamant that the NTL guy said it had been broken.

Either way we'll just have to wait & see but that's encouraging!!!

A friend of mine who is a chief engineer in Chs N*L has told me the following. All premium channels are now on N3. Others are on N2 which the kryt boxes can decode. ALL CHANNELS to be switched to N3 by late June 09. Thus making ALL boxes useless, including Krypt VW.
N3 has been in use in Spain for over 2 years with NO hacks reported. The day of the doggy box has come to an end!

You know what i am sick and tired of people coming on here saying my aunties mate friend said all the boxes will be switched off next month next week

THEY SAID THAT ABOUT N2 and the boxes are still working

lets not jump the gun here and sit back and wait till it happens people who come on here scaremongering i have a pain in my rear end listening to it if you dont want to get a box dont get one but keep your aunty mary's jokes for the knitting club where they belong

I've had my Eurovox MAX for a very long time now, there is a new firmware available for my box, but i'm always facing problems with the box when upgrading too it, so what did i do go back to the old firmware.. Did i try and resolve the problem and get my box on the latest firmware.. NO!

Moral: Enjoy what you have now and stop going on about whats going to happen and when!!

there is a box that still works in dublin its the kryptview 750 and its 95stg delivered in 4 days set up in 5 mins works super all channels working

nobody knows i got 1 last week and i think if i get 2-3 months out of it i will have gotten my moneys worth i had two euro vox sold them on ebay to a guy in uk and used the money to get 1 ordering another 1 today

As you can see that has already been debated ;) Its a gamble, according to their own PR release it will be the third quarter of this year before full migration to N3, (but thats what they say).

BTW when people are saying it will pay for it self versus paying two months subs, you should ALWAYS pay at least minimum subs, why do you think we are now in the middle of an encryption change? Too many wanting "free" TV, if they are not paid something to keep the network going, then you have what is happening now.

I never watch that much TV I enjoy it as a hobby ;)

Believe me ferg I can get this thread closed if I wanted to and if your going to use it to your gain for selling kryptivews I will, no offense meant but I made this thread for the benefit of people with eurovoxs, not for a place for you to advertise.

there is a box that still works in dublin its the kryptview 750 and its 95stg delivered in 4 days set up in 5 mins works super all channels working

Spot on sc0ucer mate,i always kept my minimum subscribtion as i felt(well i tought it was the least i could do lol)but i really got sick amount of friends et all who called me foolish for wasting my money,my reply was always the same as per your post.
