the sv1 is an old box but is not a clone as it has 25 vents.The sv3 boxes are all brand new bought from e-bay without software.

What cactikid is saying, is that the Model no: GCR 3510 is the model no: for the Starview 1, exactly what firmware are you loading onto the SV3s.

I have tried loading GTRom Super 8 without success so then tried 709e BETA and had no joy with that.I have even tried going back to 6 without success.As I tried them on 2 computers with 3 different RS232 cables I am going to try it on a mates computer to see if it works on his. It is just that I have not changed anything since I done about 20 just 3 weeks ago and haven't unplugged the lead from my computers.

Yes I have read your posts, you would be better to try it at someone else's PC, can't really understand why you are having these problems though if as you say you have flashed plenty OK before.

You could be right there, as you say your only alteration to PC was the PC Guard from Vir**n, but I am using the same antivirus software with no problems. Hope you get sorted I'm sure you will, good luck with it anyway.

Tried that today cactikid without success.checked it on a mates laptop using the same cable with a USB connector and managed to download new firmware onto the sv1 so there must be something wiped on both my computers since I upgraded from netguard to pcguard.this maybe help others and i will post if i find out what it wiped.thanks to all that helped.don't know where we would be without you all.

Hi guys,
me again, a couple of months later. I got good help the last time, cheers.
I have just bought some more new Starview 3 boxes, loaded with 7.08e version firmware. Have downloaded the channels, NTHell btw, don't get them all, but nearly. Then I try 1570 and nothing. Cannot get the secret nagravision screen. I have tried it dozens of times and zilch.
I have tried this on three new SV3s and the same result.
I have then loaded 6.01e on to the SV3 and tried to download channels, and hey presto nothing. But, I can access 1570 and get nagravision, progress or a backward step?
Is it faulty firmware, boxes or what? Would the other code, besides 1570 help?
I'm pulling my hair out, what's left of it.
Any help or assistance would be gratefully appreciated, cheers.

Hi. Sorry, I know this is off topic in relation to this thread, but need some urgent advice.
The boxes that come with DVD recorders (i.e Box 2 with 80Gb drive). Are the drives all external (a hard drive). Which boxes come with built in drives/recorders?

You would be better to put a search at the top for your query, however there are one or two on the market that take an internal drive, >>

Just lost some channels on my Starview 4 but when I press menu it asks for a password, have tried 0000 and 1111 (I dont remember passwording the menu) any ideas please !!

Hi guys I was having trouble with my starview and I'm sure I was reading a more up to date thread than this the other night, but can't locate it now, Everyone's boxes were down. So I'm waiting for a new fix and was redirected to another forum site via a link to continue the discussion, but my adaware has cleaned it out of my memory....any ideas what it was? thanks

I have recently fixed a few of the Box Super's for friends of mine. I installed 7.09 on them (8.00beta had no sound). They wouldn't auto update originally.
I was having no trouble with my own box so got the codes from that and put them in the new boxes and they are working fine. Will they need to be update manually or will they be ok now?
I'm on N*L Dublin. I presume they will change the codes during the football today so I'll find out then?

Cheers. I was asking because they wouldn't update the first time on their own so when I put the codes in it must have sort of kick started it?

Hey, does anybody know where i could download the latest Starview 3 super update?
and firmwhere as ive tryed the GTROM 8.00e the new one but its not working its picking up all the channels but no sky sports it only lets me view the standard channels like bbc 1 itv channel 5 and so on please help me thanks sarahsi
