excuse me for repeating myself , please advise as i have searched not wanting to trouble you good people. anyone direct me to starview 1 box fix for current problem with lost channels, i only find forums that have been shut down

none available as of now,keep checking in,as its an old box now it will be last or may not have any update at all.

my mate has just come around to fix his sv3 super tried downloading the new box super uk fix 301108 with no joy when it has been loaded any ideas? not got a clue with the super thx j

Try it that way, you should be able to do it, do not forget to check the correct box's okay.
I had downloaded to and including 454eE, I then took up your download of The box Loggo and 802 only to get ON KEY on front of box after I finished, will try again with all your four download and will be back to up date you.

I also have the exact same problem! Anytime I try to flash the box it says flash failed. I have tried factory resetting, even scanning the box but nothing seems to help. I also went through the complete thread on BAD FLASH and no luck.
Is there something I am doing wrong? Can anyone pls help.... pulling my hair out here!

You really do do a fantastic job and I personally can't express my gratitude to you and others like you enough. My box is working, so too are the ones in my extended family, all thanks to blokes like you. I knew nothing before I came on this forum regarding flashing fixes and I never even had a serial port. Now I've got a PCI card correctly configured, the right cable and I have successfully achieved several flashes - all with you and the other senior members help. Thanks again. :)

Thanks again Malci for your help, I sucessfully loaded my own secound sv2 box and my brother friend box, also my brother sv3 box but I am still unable to load my 1st sv2 box, it still only show the "ON" and a blank TV screen. Could it be because I loaded the first upgrade that was taking off the forum? The box only shows dashesh when loading and not increasing numbers.

hi there guys,help me stop pulling my hair out please!!haha!(no joke)
i have uploaded the new fix for "the box super",and it has all flashed correctly,i get a chanel for about 4 seconds then the box keeps re-booting over and over again!
i have done all the stuff in the 1570 menu,i have also tried to reset to factory settings and reflashed the new fix,but STILl the box keeps rebooting after i do this.
the box i have is the "the box super" i THINk its a "starview 3" box,and im using GTROM v8.02e fix,i know how to do the flashing as i fixed a few starview 2 boxes today,done a few dboxes,eurovox,but this is the first "starview 3 the box super"i have done and cant find anyone else with a similar fault.
to sumerise.
the "the box super" keeps rebooting after the new GTROM v8.02e fix has been uploaded to the box.
tried every thing i can think of,im sure im using teh correct fix for this box.
anyone help me please?

hi chaps,dont know if you seen previous posts ,but i got one box working ,tried to do box to box trans that would nt work either, so at dead end now, dont even know how i got the one working,the one working has 800e s/w the other 2 have aprils fix on them ,so you can scan and pick up all chs , but when you try to enter nagra menu and turn on emu , you cant , used 1570 and the parental con ,info 2004/5/6 etc ,hopefully putting in the right digits ,anyone out there with any ideas please dont be shy in correcting me

need something cleared up for me
i have an active v*rg*n tv line and broadband and my sv-supr box is working fine but a mate just has an active v*rg*n broadband line not the tv.
can the box receive premium channels using his broadband signal and splitter?
he lives a bit far for me to test my box in his house
please respond.. much appreciated

Yes that is all that is required, if it is cable broadband then it will be fine, your friend will get the lot.

Sorry been off line all day vichead, if you are having trouble with the one box, why don't you try a Box to Box transfer, connect both boxes together using the NULL MODEM lead, this is the procedure it is worth a try, you then connect the working one (master) to the TV and turn on so that you can watch the Menu Screen make sure the problem one is (slave) is turned away from remote first and then follow this - Menu - User Set Up go down to bottom S/W Transfer, with the problem box(slave) on standby and facing away from the remote and transfer from your working one (master) using the remote.
It might be the answer to your problem, give it a go anyway, should work don't see why not.

vichead. If you want there is now an easier way to update the Starview 2 as of today and it is this The Box UK Fix Ver 4.55 051208 you will find it in Eamo's FTA Library at the bottom of my post, courtesy of scOuser, try both methods, the new easier way and if no joy then the box to box method.
