I downloaded from diferent sites and none had work for me.Don't know what to do next....any suggestions will be appreciated.

I would suggest that you load the factory bin first and than try to load the new bin......Just to be sure please do the factory reset before loading any bin files.....keep me updated..Thanks

Thanks....I did a factory reset,loaded the 100 bin,did another factory reset,loaded 178 bin,another factory reset,set up all settings and auto scan.....all working fine.I read that method,sometime ago and remembered when read your post.

Hi everyone! For those of you that are getting scrambled channel let me tell you what I did. I checked the keys and the last two rows were wrong so I took autoroll off input the keys, nothing still happened so I got frustrated and put back the autoroll and low behold I have sat, this happened twice. So try it it worked for us.

anybody having any luck. cant seem to find any info on the cs5k. latley. think its bad buisness practice if cs stops supporting. i know ill never recomend or purchase again. hit me back someone with any news. thanks.

Coolsat is killing themself if they stop support for their cs4,5,6ks.How they pretend custumer to trust them,they maight do the same for the newer models. They should have offer to take the boxes(4,5,6ks)as a trading(ej.$50.00) for a newer model + the diference of the sale price.
I still like my 5k,but the lack of support push to buy another brand.
I'm sure they lost a lot of bussiness for that.

Me too, I still like the coolsat because it is friendly and easy to use, the picture is great... I have the new pansat. It is different like black and white if it compare with coolsat.
Your idea (trading) is good but it is undoable. It is underground stuff.

I read about it,but somehow I got the feeling is a scam.Maybe I'm wrong,if somebody have done that,please tell us about it.

OK I will admit I have been out of the loop for awhile.. My Coolsat 5000 went TU several months ago. Since that time I have been watching 1 channel on rabbit ears. The HD thing took place today in our area.. Now I am back to my husbands John Wayne movies. That will not keep a 30 year marraige together very long in this day and age.
My question is what is the best Coolsat to buy. The 7100 looks good as far as getting the bins in a timely fashion and the price is acceptable but, since I have not been keeping up with the times in the FTA world I am seeking some expert opinions as to the best system to buy at this time. Since I used the Coolsat 5000 for several years and am aquainted with the system per se, I thought I should stick to what I know best. Am I on the right track as purchasing the 7100 and is their other equipment I will need to purchase due to my TV not being HD compliant?
Any help would be greatly appeciated. This is my 1st post to a FTA website as I am a reader and can usually figure out what I need to know from reading the forums. In this case my situation needs IMMEDIATE attention as I am going crazy as there are onlly so many VHS and DVD movies I can watch.
I have really, really tried to find a forum for this question and cannot seem to find a place to ask this question since it is so open to all FTA products other than that I would prefer to stay with the Coolsat brand.

i personally wouldnt go with coolsat, they might stop supporting other models soon as newer come out. they made their money on the 4-5-6 k but no longer want to support cause there is no money in it for them. that loyalty to their customers deserves a similar reaction from us. obviously if they are in the buisness of supporting their current products im sure is shouldnt be too much more to maintain their original customers at least some manner to support the purchase of their product. may sound harsh but if they have the means to get us up and running but wont cause it doesnt make them money . now they are supposed to be 100+$ paper wiehgts. sory for the rammbling. just my opinion. try the view*** or the pan*** even nf*** thats what im looking into . good luck.
