Hi coolnaza,
after a lot of praying I followed your advice and bought a sonic**** but i don't know how to set it up; Im literally pulling my hair out; please help!!!
Go to Sonicview 4000 forums and also the "how to section" and you can find all you need to know. The menu is fairly easy to follow and loading new bins with ubs a very fast and convenient one.Other sites offer instruccions also.
If you are replacing the CS, nothing to do the dishes. The settings are quite similar.I printed every instruccion I found and that way you can use them in the future.
The new bin for the SV4K is 253 and is posted at Bindepot.
Hope this help....good lock.
Thanks a lot; I appreciate your response :)

Hey guys, i am am tire of the support provided by the coolsat coders. I am thinking about getting a new receiver. can some help me to find a good receiver for about $160, which could provide faster support than coolsat 5000. Thanks. all suggestions will be appreciated.

Sonicview @ Viewsat are good receivers and the support is one of the best, normally within hours.I replaced my CS5K for a Sonicview 4000 and I'm very pleased with it.I cost me $130 and free shipping.I think they are cheaper now, because SV have new models, mine is about 7 month old.
Hope this help..good luck !!

Ill take this one. coolsat no longer cares for their customers and i guess neither thier employees. made thier money on us 4-5-6 and ran with the mula. no longer feel they need to support them. from what i read the 5k might be one of the best user friendly models and great picture quality. i dont understand their buisness practices but refuse to by anything with the name coolsat assoiated with . i too bought my cs5k not long before they started support because it came highly recomended. that'll teach me.

you may want to save one of your 5k heard they make good bird dogs(to find sat signals) and also heard some coders trying to get bins for them on their own time. so no pay im assuming. so no time table. and heard something bout a program to convert the cs5k to a 7 or 8 will try to find the info give a little more accurate details later.

Dust off your coolsat boxes people because we are back online starting this October, this comes straight from the NORW group
Renewed Support for Coolsat 4/5/6 Models in October
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We are happy to confidently announce that the Coolsat 4000, 5000, 6000 models will be supported (well) from here on out starting October 2008.
We do apologize to all Coolsat 4000, 5000 & 6000 users for the poor support in the past. We did run into some problems with our previous manufacturer for the these models. To make a long story short, we do not work with this manufacturer any longer. All problems with support have been resolved since we now have all source codes in hand. We spent quite a bit of money for this however, we believe it was worthwhile.
We have also reorganized, made new partnerships, and many structural improvements have been made. We believe you will see a very strong support group for ALL Coolsat models from here on out. It should be noted, that it has always been our intension to support ALL Coolsat models past and present.
We appreciate everyone's support in the past and promise to support YOU as best as we can. And look out for renewed support for Coolsat 4000, 5000 & 6000 in October.
