I was seriously wondering why an app like this didn't exist yesterday. :) Cool.

But as you said, why would you need to go back to 3.2U? :( Have people been having problems with 3.3U?

Well lots of people think 3.3 stopped their backups from working. Never had a problem myself.

It would allow freeloader and trucha signed games to work again which 3.3 stopped.

Did you follow the instructions ?

You first run the rev3 installer, then you run the downgrader. Both are run from the SD card. You also need internet access while running.

Ok. Having the homebrew channel installed will make this much easier, so consider installing that before you get going if you don't alreay have it.

First you need to run the REV3 Installer. To do this you will need a copy of a file called IOS37-64-v2070.wad which is the original wii wad file. You can download this from various places. You will have to google for it.

Once you have IOS37-64-v2070.wad you copy that file to the root of your SD card along with the installer, then insert the SD card into your wii and run the installer.

Once you have done this you can run the downgrader itself, copy the downgrader to your SD card then run it on your wii. You will need internet access while you run it.

Hope this helps.

[edit] the IOS37-64-v2070.wad file should be 1.82MB just for info.

No, the wad installer is something different.

Copy the IOS37-64-v2070.wad and the REV3 installer to the root of your SD card. Then through the homebrew channel select and run the REV3 installer.

Then copy the downgrader to the root of your SD card and then run that through the homebrew channel.

Run the REV3 installer. It should be called something like "custom firmware"

Or you could try this. Copy the IOS37-64-v2070.wad file to the root of the SD card and copy the REV3 installer to the /apps folder on your SD card. This may make it show up better in the Homebrew Channel.

I haven't actually run this myself so can't say exactly what it will look like in the homebrew channel.

Maybe someone who has run this can confirm the details.

Right, I just ran this to see what happens and it would seem that in some versions of the homebrew channel you can't see the installer app. So I played around with it and got it working. What follows is how to get this to run if you don't see the file in the homebrew channel.

Copy the file IOS37-64-v2070.wad to the root of your SD card
Create a new folder in the apps folder on your SD card called CustomIOS, so the root of your SD card hould look like this...

IOS37-64-v2070.wad
Apps
../CustomIOS

Then copy the file cIOS37_rev3-Installer.dol to the CustomIOS folder you just created, then rename the file to BOOT.dol

Now put the card in your wii and run the homebrew channel. You should now see the REV3 installer application in the list of apps to run. Select it and follow the on screen instructions.

To get the downgrader to run do the same thing. Create a folder called Downgrader in the Apps folder, so you will then have:-

IOS37-64-v2070.wad
Apps
../CustomIOS
../Downgrader

then copy the file cIOS_Downgrader_v1.1.dol to the new folder you just created. Rename the file as BOOT.dol and run from the homebrew channel.

Hopefully this will sort it for you.

I am a little new to this and confused, is there a way other than the Twlight Hack to be able to use this downgrader on an unmodded 3.3 system? Is there anyway yet to install the homebrew channel on an unmodded 3.3 system without the twilight hack?

I already knew about this from youtube month's ago.

There is how ever a small problem...
Newer shop channel games will start to have firmware checkers so this is great you can downgrade but this most likely will affect shop channel games

You didn't know about this months ago because it has only just been created in the last few days. Since Wanankoko created the IOS hack. It was not possible before !!!!

Yes the shop channel already checks the firmware level so you won't be able to download unless you are the latest firmware.

No, you will need the TP hack or the homebrew channel to be able to do this. And you need TP to install the homebrew channel.

Found the IOS37-64-v2070.wad. Ran eveything from homebrew channel. The CustomIOS Rev03 ran fine, but the Downgrader keeps getting stuck at "Downloading and installing content #66". Did I screw something up?

Any help would be great.
