I tried the alternative link and DC8 didn't work because it says that the data is corrupted

I just retried this guide. I reformatted the memory stick 3 times before retrying and followed everything to a T
I still receive the black screen once putting the Pandora Tool battery into the PSP. I get the solid green power light, but no internet lights. I have allowed the pandora battery to sit in the charging PSP for several hours until the yellow power light turned green.
And like I said the the previous post, the alternate link (using the DC version 8) does not allow the DC to run because it says that the data is corrupted

I almost would have to say to try another memory card.
I just installed the Despertar Cementerio V8 with no problems on a Fake 16GB memory card.
Is that where you had it say 'data is corrupted'

Yes. When I go to install DC8, it has Corrupted Data under it and even after deleting it, when I try to install it, it says that the data is corrupted

Well corrupted data can be caused by usb cable, try another cable if you have one.
Or USB port not working correctly, try another port
Bad or counterfeit memory card - try another memory card
Use a card reader if you have one.
You have tried numerous programs and none work, so it must be something with the memory card.

1) what exactly is a "card reader"? Like directly plugging it into the computer and working that?
2) try another USB cable?
3) the motherboard problem wouldn't be the problem creating the corrupted data, would it?

BTW, can I run ChickenHen right now until I can figure out how to do the full hack? I really want to extend battery life by running the isos instead of the disks

So, just to recap...there is absolutely no way to reset a PSP back to factory settings and firmware?

...and apparently Pandora doesn't work yet for this firmware? I read that somewhere?
Once again, I really appreciate all of this and I will try this tomorrow afternoon and send you the results.

Yeah I was wondering that. I haven't read up much lately on newest firmwares.

Yes a card reader is attached to your PC that reads SD, memory stick pro etc
I would just forget the dc8, seeing it doesn't work.
I would try psp grader 8, and see if that works on your sandisk 4GB, if not then I guess your stuck with the Hen for now.
By any chance, do you have any ways that can modify a PSP 2006 permanantly- meaning, when i turn off the PSP completely and turn it back on, it is still modified. ChickHEN is where you turn it off completely, we'll have to reload chickhen again. Its kinda troublesome..
Appreciate if you know some ideas.

Oh, and smokey, the first link is said to be fake. Also, I don;t have either of those games.
So should I go ahead and try the ChickHen exploit even though I'm 5.51?
And I tried the PSP grader 8 on BOTH of my memory cards and the same problem: When I insert the Pandora Battery, I get a black screen with a solid green light.

I am thinking you have the TA-088 v3 mobo, because the pandora should work otherwise even if your on the OFW 5.51
Just do a search on that.
You will have to wait for an exploit on the 5.51 if there will be one.
And that first link is true
http://www.psp-hacks.com/2009/06/28/psp-...ploit-released/
But I realize its for 5.50, not 5.51

and haven't the TA-088 v3 been cracked? I thought I read that they were like 2 months ago?
You think I can get the guys at ebay to exchange my psp for one with older firmware? If I told them it was malfunctioning or something?

Probably best just for you to sell this one, and purchase another one.

If that is all you have, in order to follow this guide on page 1, you will need a Pandora Battery. I say that because I don't recommend hard modding batteries. But its up too you entirely.
Then just follow each section pertaining to your psp with OFW
