No you misunderstood me.

You need to BUY a Pandora Battery or hardmod one of your own.

You can't make a Pandora Battery with software unless you have a psp with CFW already.

Just read the guide from beginning to end. It is very clear and concise.

Well there is nothing dangerous about hard modding a battery, you just have to pull out a pin. I have tried it many times and at the most, just experienced a spark coming out of the battery. But I also recommend pre modded or soft modded batteries, they save you a lot of fuss.

Smokey, I just bought another PSP (this time a GOW with 3.95 OFW [according to the seller])

It was a little more expensive than I wanted, but it came with an upgraded battery and like 12 UMBs and oversized cases and some other stuff.

Anyway, This one'll probably work right?

You don't have to downgrade to 1.50 to play ISO's.

It is best too update it too 5.00 m33-6, that works fine with all the emulators I have tried.

I also did the 1.50 addon for 5.00 m33 if you want to run older homebrew on Fat psp.

Yes as far as I know the CFW works on the GOW psp. Just follow this guide and you should be fine.

Smokey! I hacked it!!!

Just to be clear, in order to bring up the pandora menu, I had to follow Hercules' ultimate guide to the letter AND, plug the psp into the AC adapter, put in pandora, turn the psp off, then unplug the AC adapter from the PSP, hold down the L button and turn on the PSP with the Pandora in it.

Poof, the menu popped up and I let out a roar of triumph not heard outside of a Jurassic Park movie

Thanks loads though.

BTW< I'm trying to get psptube to work (v2.0)

I have 5.00 m33-6 CFW, the kernel is set to 5.XX and all I get are black screens for all of the sites with a "no videos" message in the top left corner

what is this?

Cool barrsc, glad it worked.

I don't use the psp tube v2, so I would suggest starting a new thread with that topic and others will reply.

I am going to be doing this in a few days when my pandora battery arrives

But I was just wondering should I choose the dump Nand option before installing the custom firmware just in case something goes wrong or my PSP 2000 ends up being one that is not hackable

I bought it used and I have not figured out any way to find out what motherboard it has

Most definitely you should. Everyone who does this should do that, but most don't.

Always good to have the backup. Then copy it too your pc after for safe keeping.

you place the 500.pbp on the root of the ms. copy the installer to PSP\GAME. run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions. this will installed a modified version of timemachine to the ms. then put the ms into the psp you want to hack. put in a pandora batt. and click "Install 5.00 M33".

it doesnt do anything to the hacked psp, except use the flash1 and copy it to the psp it hacks. you have to format flash1 after using dc unless it was your flash1 backup.

Just push O to bring up the text box and enter to search

my preference is 5.00 m33-6... all the features work and it has a 1.50 kernel, unlike the newer 5.50 GEN and U3R etc.

ps:i have only added a ps1 emu to play crash and spyro and a few themes and apps, but it turned off before that so i dont think they are a problem

If you followed a youtube method, then why are you posting in this guides thread.
Unless you followed this guide or want too, should you be posting in it this thread.

Make a new post about your problem.
