TIA
There are numerous WAD files to install it as a channel HERE.

Am having problems with mine I have 3.4E firmware. I done all the steps I copied the right save from the hack (Europian version). The Homebrew channel installed fine but that ICO channel when I click it it comes up saying about press A to continue at your own risk but noting happend whats going on.

I have read the link the op posted about the fix for it. But when I load up Homebrew the only things I have in there is backup loader and ICOS there is no WAD manager so can someone please help me.

I have all consoles and Hand held consoles from 1988 to 2007.

@ larrylje

ok first thanks for the help

so i have uninstalled dvdx and the previous ciso
then followed ur guide

all went well

but when i try to load a back up i am getting a "dvd read error 324"

has the backup launcher and ciso not installed correctly or is it the disk i have burned

i used imgburn at 2.4X and verified it.

at the bottom of wiigator it says 'backup launcher 0.3 gamma, iso249'

is this correct or do i need an up date or something else.

any help with this would be great larrylje or any1

Make sure your downloading the files given in the fix link. They have separate files for that guide that needs to be downloaded. After you do the fix then format your SD Card and transfer over the files I have for this guide.

If you downloaded the files within the past 2 days then you have all updated files. If your still getting the error and have the cIOS installed properly then it could be a media issue.

They did give you a step by step guide. If you would read it you would notice it says to use google to find the IOS16-64-v257-prod.wad file. They didn't include it because it is Nintendo code and is not allowed to be linked on that site.

I did it and everything is working OK so far but I have a question...

I already had ver 3.4 before doing anything but for some reason when I insert the Wii Fit disc (original legal disc) it ask me to update my Wii.

Why is asking me to update if I have previously played this game before? Does the installation of the WiiGator Gamma BootLoader removed the previous update of this game? Is it safe to update my Wii via the Wii Fit disc?

just a wee note for any 1 who has a JAP twilight princess and euro wii

when i was trying to install the homebrew channel it would not let me copy the JAP hack file over but let me copy the EURO hack file over.

i know most guides tell u to use the 1 that matches the zelda disk.

so using the file that matches me wii allowed me to install homebrew

i dont know how this would work for a JAP disk and usa wii or with a jap wii

Really Need help please

I have Wii version 3.4 and trying to get homebrew channel on. with no luck the first sytem worked but not the second.

I'm getting the error

failed to read boot.elf (-1)!
No code found to load, hanging

This is what I'm doing

Things you need...

Wii System.
Non-secure SD Card.
Zelda Twilight Princes (OWN/RENT/BORROW).
This file HERE.

Before we begin the guide make sure you have played a game of Twilight Princess to a point where you have saved it to the Wii System (this is a requirement before the Game Save Hack can be transfered to the Wii system).

Now lets begin...

1) Format your SD Card to FAT16 (default format setting in windows).

2) Download and extract the above file. It will extract to a HBC + WiiGator Backup Loader folder. There are 2 folders inside this folder. The 3.3 folder is for users with 3.3 or below firmware. The 3.4 folder is for users that have 3.4 firmware.

3) Open the folder that corresponds with the firmware you have on your Wii system. Now drag the files and folders inside the corresponding folder to the root of the SD Card.

Installing Homebrew Channel:

1) Place the SD Card into the Wii System and go to the Wii game save data management on the Wii System. Find the Twilight Princess game save that you previously made when you first played the game and delete it.

2) Click on the SD Card TAB at the top of the game save data management and copy the corresponding region game save to the Wii System. If you have a USA Wii choose the USA game save. If you have a JAP Wii choose the JAP game save. If you have a PAL Wii choose the EUR game save.

3) Now back track to the Wii Channel Menu (do not reset your Wii system). Place the Twilight Princess game disc in your Wii and start a game. It will then load the Game Save letting you select the save file that has the exploit. So select the game save file and start the game. When the game starts walk backward. The exploit will start the Homebrew Channel installer. Just follow the On-Screen instructions that the installer gives. THIS IS WHERE IT HANGs.

Thank you for your help

@zelda1899

The site was temporarily down. But it is up again. Plus I added a Mirror Link.

@jakmx

If you have installed the gamma version in its own channel (using WAD) then yes you can delete the boot loader located in the apps folder.

Again if you installed the gamma boot loader as its own channel you can uninstall the Homebrew Channel under the Wii Settings and data management for channels. Why do you want to uninstall the Homebrew Channel?

Please refer to the gamma boot loader compatibility list HERE or start your own thread if your question is about a game. Keep it to the boot loader application. We don't need numerous game compatibility question mixed with the guide.

larrylje...nice post mate & thanks in adv! I only have one question...this section at the top of the page

[If you have the OCT 23rd 3.3 firmware or 3.4 firmware update the instillation of WAD/cIOS files will be blocked. You can go HERE and follow the first 3 steps which will fix this limitation so you can install the files needed for the BootLoader (you do not have to downgrade the system).}

My wii [3.4U] was purchased during the X Mas season so it doesn't meet your Oct.23 criteria but I read the thread so you're suggesting it might not even matter...just do the fix because you have the update..clear!!.. it's the update--understand that.

But I'm not sure if I should perform the fix before or after proceeding with your instruction in the guide. If you could clear that up for me I am ready to go forward & confident based on the very clear instructions that I'll have no problems. Oh, don't know much about this but is it safe to assume that after the install of your instructions I will be able to play backups that I make from my retail disks? Any more things this fix will allow me to play as well? Thanks for you patience & help in adv.

BTW...actually I was first a member here in 2007 but a had a small battle with brain cancer that had me very busy trying to beat it..my pass/login was deleted so back under a new nick. However, a newbie for sure when it comes to the Wii & things can be a bit tough at times since part of my brain was removed LOL..no matter... I was bit slow at everything except torts& contracts anyway!! LOL Glad to be back & alive..thanks mates!!

question everything

this makes no sense. If you have 3.4U, you have to use the oct. 23 fix, simple as that.

Since you had brain surgery I wont make the usual condescending reply I would for others. You have 3.4 firmware so yes you need to perform the fix in order to get the cIOS installed.

Hi,

I currently have Wii gator backup launcher 3 installed but no homebrew channel. If I follow to install gamma can I still keep the backup launcher or do I have to remove that and install the new homebrew and gamma ?
