hi everybody.. The thread is too long to be read :( but im giving one solution for those who like me are using iXtreme 1.4 fw and want to play 3rd wave games on their consoles. Since mine has been banned so im not bothered about stealth as i have a non modded one to play online games on. I found the sofware on TPB while searching for some solution. SInce i'm at work i dont exactly remember the name will later on edit this post to add the name. It was a small file with 1 patch. Open the iso of wave 3 game in it and add teh PFI patch inclded and then after its patched burn and u can play wave 3 on ur ixtreme 1.4. I've played GodFatherII, Velvet assissin and wolvering w/o any problem.

thanks bro for the tutorial, im actually readin it right now. N u r completely right, reading more about all this flashin is gettin me more confused but heck, i kno im not before i kne nothin about it. is just so many words, so many steps, to think just flashin a system to play backups, cuz again i do not want to mod my xbox, i dont want to solder anythin, just softmod will be just fine. N also with the hope to not be banned form LIVE, and yes thanks to all this post i kno the risk and i kno is all on me, but if i do it right and follow what you guys say heck well i should be ok for so lon, or should i buy the arcade xbox to try things out? ummmmmm maybe i should :)

What you have stated has nothing to do with this thread. That is why this thread is way too long! There are other threads for patching wave 3 to work with ix1.5 and below.

If I am ripping my own games from disc and ABGX says it passes stealth but fails verification, do I have to auto fix the file? I do not download anything, just straight rips from disc. And if I do auto fix the ISO file does it throw up a flag as tampering?

It fails because your info is different than what abgx has in their database.
If you're making your own rips then there is no need to run it through abgx. You already know it's a valid copy... you have the disc right in front of you.
The people who are downloading are the ones who should use abgx.

Hey people,
I just had a few questions I couldn't seem to find. I was just curious if it was smart updating to 1.6 right when it comes out or wait a week or so and make sure there is no problems with it and the like? I was also curious if it was possible to mod a lite-on drive with a Macbook? I can't seem to find a how-to anywhere and really didn't want to pay to have this done.

1.6 should be good to go when released. these guys do extensive testing and are good at what they do so no worries on that. im not sure about macbook and flashing but i doubt it. do they even make sata pcmcia cards for macbooks?

Why do they need a PCMCIA card? Just use the internal one like I did? If there's a problem just lend someones PC.

a macbook is a laptop how are you going to use an internal sata connection on a laptop?? hence the need for a PCMCIA sata card

seeing as how if you want to flash using a laptop and the only way to do it is with a PCMCIA sata card then it is not defeating it at all, its quite the opposite.

EDIT: oh i get it you mean cause sata is built for fast transfer speeds and incorrporating into PCMCIA would be defeating that purpose.
if thats what you meant then yes....but also that may be why they are so hard to find.

Is there any chance of this being delayed? I was going to send my dvd drive to someone for him to flash it and would like it to get there by the time this is released, but don't want to send it early if it gets delayed.
Still wondering if I should just wait to see if it works fine for everyone... dunno.

you can send him the hard drive now or next year but there is no modded firmware going to work on it...lol

I have a macbook pro, and a regular pc that I built. My macbook is what i do all my backups on. I attach a usb enclosure to the kreon drive, I also have abgx to run on it as well. I will run windows in a VM on the macbook, so it works perfect. However, I have never done any flashing on the macbook. I would only do that my pc. So in your case, I would just go to a friends place for an hour that will let you use his pc.

Whats your problem using mac book? just bootcamp windows xp. and use CK3 pro with USB. the firmware has about a 10% chance of failure and hardly that. The things that go wrong (6th times ive said this) Playing bad backups! Microsoft can not read firmware!!!

That would work? I heard there was absolutely no way to do it on a Macbook. I have a Macbook and hate that I have to pay someone to do this for me. I hate a Liteon drive.

if you bootcamp xp on your macbook you can do anything a pc can do cause your macbook will essentially be a pc. go to finder applications, utilities , then bootcamp assisstant, use your favorite torrent site to find the latest cracked xp release (or buy windows xp lol) . You'll need you mac disc for drivers, then when turning on your macbook (once xp is installed) just hold the option key then you'll have the choice as whether to boot in osx or xp. follow the above msg for putting firmware on your drive. hope that helps with you mac probs.

Have you heard of anybody trying this? I was searching around the other night and didn't find much. All I was finding was people saying it would not work because of some SATA cable or something and that because it was a laptop. Also the people above talking about it on the same page say it won't work.
I do not have Windows XP installed via bootcamp, but I do have it installed via parallels. I found Team Xecuter site with info on the CK3 pro info. I searched their forums and only found one post about "macbooks" and it didn't help much. Do you mind helping me and letting me know what I need to buy and such for this to work (flashing lite on)? I would really appreciate it and love not having to ship my DVD drive to someone to flash. Have burned my own backups with kreon's firmware and older xbox creator from the start, but abqx360 still says video is too short, is this ok then? I thought they had to check out 100% to be sure?
