Sorry to do this but I am taking down all of my guides.

My original post for the reason I am doing this has been edited. Most of this stuff can be obtained by doing some research.

There are some here that have a good handle on the scene so hopefully someone else will step up to the plate and resume where I have left off.

Its been a nice ride and hope the best for all.

This is very cool new stuff here. I happened to notice last night that my burned wii games were showing on the disc channel and i havent even followed this guide yet... is that normal? I did not dare press start to see if it would load.

Which brings me to my next question(s) how do i install BootMii and what is NAND? I assume BootMii allows you to save and restore your wii incase you brick or semi-brick your wii correct? I definently want to do that!

The other night I burned a PAL version of EA Sports Active(used a region converter called wiizle diizle shiizle or something) and it loaded but it was black and white and the items on the screen were not correctly positioned. I was worried i screwed up my wii but things work fine.

great guide larry, keep em coming. if it werent for you i wouldnt have HBC.

Celica00 , the black and white is cause by out of region. You have to force NTSC (assumed that you arefrom US) to make it work but not guaranteed.

Larrylje, great guide, so this will work on already hack Wii? or just install preloader in step 5?

You still need to downgrade to 3.2 so the special hacks can be installed even if you already have a softmodded system.

Do all the steps and you will be able to launch disc from the disc channel.

As far as I know this hack is region free. I don't have any PAL games to test out.

Sounds like an SD Card issue if Preloader or WAD Manager can't access the SD Card.

Make sure you formated it to FAT32 also make sure everything is in its proper directory.

Make sure the hacks file is renamed to hacks.ini and in the root of the SD card.

Ok just got done installing it and here are my notes.

Its working great however this is not region free if its not your region you will still have to use a loader so dont go deleting Gamma.

As for the hacks.ini not working I dont know why they worked fine for me but the Wad manager did not it hung after I told it to load from SD aswell. No biggy tho I moved thoes files to my main SD and used Wad manager 1.04 and it worked great.

Last minor note is I couldnt find the list of hacks in your link so HERE is a list of what the preloader hacks can do.

EDIT: I forgot when I got here

Step4: Run ISO60 Installer (Launch it using HBC).

Select ?NO? for install IOS61.

Select ?YES? for Install IOS80.

Select ?YES? for Patch IOS60.

Select ?NO? for install shop channel.

There was no option to install IOS80. I skipped it and it still worked (Yeah I took a chance lol)

I fixed the IOS80 typo.

@Valedion

Did you install BootMii and backup your NAND?

What part did you supposedly brick at?

What is the error your getting?

Yeah if you follow the directions it is kinda hard to brick it.

In anycase I updated to WAD Manger 1.4 and also fixed the hack definition link.

Larry is it possible that we don't have to do the steps?
After upgrading to 4.0u and the latest cios ver13 I was able to load Medal Of Honor Heroes 2 from the disc channel. Or is it possible that it is because Medal of Honor has Been patched with the ios249 patch?

I haven't tried another disc yet, but I will tomorrow.

I only patched the ISO to IOS249 if they needed it. Never tried playing a patched IOS249 game via disc channel.

thanks for the guide larry. while not all of my backups will load via disc channel for some reason, some do (including ghostbusters) and that makes me happy.

Hello, I follow all the instructions but still receive the system menu error message after reinstalling preloader .29 in step 8. It works if I change to ios 249 but ios60 give me the error message.

Any suggestions?

After I click load for the IOS Downgrader, my wii just returned to the startup screen.. (Health/Safety..) If this happens when you've run the IOS downgrader before, then nevermind this. (Before as in 2 weeks ago ._.)

Also, When I open homebrew now I only see bubbles =/ (And the globe in the bottom corner is blinking a while)

help? Thanks guys

i got 2 Wii's and installed 4.0 wankiko's and was using backup loaders and then installed CIOSCORP Installer on both of them and one plays ghost busters no problem but the other one freezes at the remote screen any ideas the only difference between consoles is that the one that freezes has usb loader and gamecube loaders installed
