My box did the slot 0 slot 1 thing last night i turned it off at the wall and rebooted and it went away again

done it mate and reflashed it about 10 times it always comes back on running out of patience with it as it always seems to happen mid programme grrrr

Yeah i was told these are the latest greatest box out and im getting lots of prob s with it lol mabe should have kept the old d-box lmao

I had the same problem on my first day after flashing the box,Remove your scart's and make sure they are clean and put back in tight,
This worked for me.
I also have a problem with the EPG It's very poor,That apart it's a good box.

not sure if this helps or has anything whatsoever to do with your problem.
I tried a different SCaRT lead and the slot 0 message has not been back since.
I am quite happy with box, apart from the EPG being totally useless.

Did you all notice the slot 0 slot 1 problem is fixed with an update. And in the update the read me tells us that the epg problem is a known issue and is being worked on

PLEASE REMEMBER THIS IS A BETA FILE
EX1100 Sept25th Beta Firmware
Fixes the SLOT 0 OUT problem
Still to do:
Fix EPG for some areas
Default to stereo audio rather than LEFT
Thanks to Barnsley Bill for this tutorial
1). To update the firmware on the box follow below
2) place the usb pen drive into the eurovox,(with the power to the box off) power the box on.
3) Menu.........record......HDD FORMAT...format the usb flash stick..Power the box off and remove the usb flash stick.
4)Place the usb flash stick into the pc and send the file we downloaded to it.
5)With the power to the eurovox off and all set up on the tv ready to view....Place the usb flash stick into the eurovox and power the box up.
6)menu......TOOLS.......UPGRADE BY USB.....SW..THEN RED BUTTON TO START THE UPGRADE...you'll see a bar move across the screen and the box will reboot..Job done..
REMEMBER,ALWAYS POWER THE BOX DOWN B4 REMOVING/INSERTING THE USB FLASH STICK TO AVOID COSTLY ERRORS.
SCANNING.
MENU.........INSTALL..........POWER-SCAN...CHOOSE YOUR PROVIDER FROM THE LIST..AND START THE SCAN...
After the scan as finished,just leave on ya fav pay channel,you'll see a message on the tv screen..UPDATE,this may take a few mins,but will clear.

hi all.......im not quite a newbie at this..but im havin some problems getting the red/2.5.2.0 to function.......download the latest firmware and flashed successfully........
downloaded the FTA bin file but i cant flash this......? presumably this is spose to enable the secret menu?

Yea exactly the same problem here...
Picture locks and epg not displaying properly
Hopefully a fix will be available soon....

thick? - I know - but .... eurovox 1100 - is it possible to get virgin 'catchup tv on demand' and all the other stuff ? - I can't seee a card slot to insert my virgin card .... duh

but still getting screen freezes on pay for channels like sky sports
but not on bbc or itv. if i change channel to bbc or itv and then back to sports it works for 60 seconds then it freezes.
is this a problem with the key emu

It is easy enough to run your subbed box alongside the EV off a splitter and then you have both options.

HELP..........ihave ex1100......came with FTA...flashed with latest firmare myself...works fine..HOWEVER the RED 2520 doesnt do anything..pressing RED in the Launguage menu only "SAVES"
Is the FTA thats the wrong version? where can i get the proper one?
is the FTA a .Bin file?......and how do you install it?

If it is the 1100 USB then have a look 12 posts up it is all there for you, and yes the FTA firmware is no good for what you want.

Menu... install.... power-scan... DOESN'T bring up a list of providers on my box????.....
Just a list of baud rates (whatever they are ???)

All firmware you will find in Eamo's FTA Library link at the bottom, but I presume you are on Ch*r*s MMDS with the TX, so I am afraid there is no fix for the current migration of premium channels to N3, and yes you have posted correctly.
