Just to get an answer for me as well as anyone else I want to do a scenario.
Modern Warfare 2 is wave 4.
If i rip it to my computer and burn it without using agbx will it work and be stealthed on my xbox like wave 3 games.
Also, will agbx have an update (not iextreme 1.7) that will figure out wave 4 and stealth it in the next month.

A question. I'm burning and playing wave 3 games using the wave 3 automatic patcher and i have fw 1.5 i do believe. I never run the games through ABGX or anything, since i never play the games online anyhow. How can i play wave 4 games with my current fw? Will there be a wave 4 patcher sooner or later?

You will need to update to at least 1.6 and use the activate.iso to boot them. Or just wait for 1.6.1

Imagine Modern Warefare 2 brought on Wave 5, and Wave 4 was just a bit of a distraction to ensure that it would take a while before illegitimate copies of Modern warefare 2 were playable.
Doesn't sound too far-fetched when you think about it.

I heard it was going to be wave 35. They wanted ban all users from xbox live good or not and start over. Might as well. They already have a Monopoly

I'm also wondering if the people on 1.4 would still be able to use ppf-o-matic to patch down the wave 4 games! I hope it's still possible

Alright, it's now a day after Oct. 20, the official release date for Borderlands. Any word yet on if the true, verified, retail disc version of the game is in fact wave 3 or if MS fooled us with an early leak and it is in fact a wave 4 game at the retail level?

I believe Borderlands is wave 4, but not entirely sure. Either way Fairytale Fights has been confirmed wave 4; so I am assuming that all games will be wave 4 for at least the next 6 months.

Borderlands is wave 3. It was verified earlier today. The only verified wave 4 games so far are Bakugan: Battle Brawlers and Lips: Number One Hits, although there are other non-verified wave 4 games out there such as Cars Race-O-Rama and Fairytale Fights, as you mentioned.

I'm not sure that screenshot is genuine, I saw that exact same one on Torrentleech and a lot of others were skeptical of it.

Question, what if you try booting an unverified/non-stealthed patched (wave 4 or below) game in Ix 1.6 using activate.iso? would that flag the console for LIVE ban? Just asking since abgx hasn't released a new version to properly patch Wave4 games...

Using the activate.iso disc, iExtreme will then boot anything regardless of it's stealth patching, which, yes is risky if you are booting up discs which are not yet verified as there could be some video corruption.
So to answer your question, if you are booting up non-verified / non-patched discs online, you certainly do run the risk of running a corrupted game which would/could flag you down by Msoft.
Expect a new iextreme f/w and update to ABGX360

I see, I'll just wait for the new firmware + updated abgx360 to be out then rather than risking ban for playing wave4 games early.. Thanks for the response!

I doubt it, ixtreme 1.6 checks the game for stealth etc, 1.51 does not. The activate .iso simply disables the stealth checking.

It probably will work, but there's no real need to use it, since the 1.51 F/W will boot up any disc regardless of it's stealth status.

afaik 1.51 will not play wave 4 games.
EDIT: I've done some more research and found out that 1.51 does play wave 4 games.... I could of swore that I read abgx saying that 1.51 doesn't play wave 4 games, I must be wrong.
EDIT: I found the abgx statement:Originally posted by abgx360.net: Looks like we were wrong in assuming that iXtreme v1.51 was fully compatible with 4th Wave PFI/Video. Turns out that only Hitachi iXtreme v1.51 will boot 4th Wave backups, and BenQ/LiteOn/Samsung iXtreme v1.51 will NOT boot 4th Wave. It would have been fully compatible if only the Video data had changed but not with the change in PFI (capacity). So currently the only safe option for booting 4th Wave backups on a BenQ/LiteOn/Samsung drive is to use iXtreme v1.6 and the one shot boot disc.

i have a Benq on 1.51 and it will not boot wave 4 or use Activate.iso

i noticed that ABGX site list wave4 games under the verified page. wonder if that mean ABGX won't need a update for Wave4 like that thought.

ABGX will still need an update to recognize Wave 4. The reason they have put it up in the verified is because they have ripped it more than once and the CRC is the same.
