finally I found someone in 2009 ! there are many helps and posts going back to 2007 which I believe are pretty old for cfw ...
I bought a used psp2001 with 5.01 OFW installed on it to run my damn games downloaded long ago to my PC . guess what ? the games dont run on OFW (which i didnt know) and after hours of investigations i made the PANDORA BATTERY . now I'm stuck on MMS . can you send me a reliable link for CFW , the best version that might work with my PSP please.
any help is highly appreciated.

Look at the sticky titled, "READ SECOND (rules 1st) Ultimate sticky sticky" and you should find the answers that you're looking for.

did not post 5.50 GEN-C as lots of people reporting bricking with this firmware, you can go from -B2 straight to -D
running 5.50 GEN-D2 no problems now, little big planet works great
when i try to upgrade to "5.50 GEN-D2 " (i am already on Gen-D) it shows "corrupt file".
I extracted the file and copied the folder to my PSP with the "EBOOT.PBP" file inside the update folder in the game directory o the psp. Am i doing anything wrong or do i have to change anything?
thx

you only have to load in the gen-d2 by the stages posted here. once you have gen-d2 format your chip and all needed files are added on there on. you just load the iso in the iso folder and play nothing else needed.

Hi Mickoz74. I have been trying to download assassins creed 2 on a psp phat 0.81 with 5.50 Gen D2. I am unsure if I copied over the top of one of the files and therefore deleteing one of the files required to run the game. Please can you tell me exactly what files should be there for example Games music etc and what should be in those files PSP etc. Please reply as I am a newbie and it is driving me mad!!!!!
Thanks
psp games go in the ISO folder if you deleted it make a new one

Thanks very much Mickoz74, it had been a year since I hacked to 5.00m33-4.
Say, does LBP take a verrrry long time to load for you? (I'm on a 1001).

i didnt see that anyone answered your question about the nds games, so i thought i would try. nds file extension is a nintendo ds game, it will not load on your psp without an ds emulator. i also tried to play these games on psp, and its really not good at all. i got the newest emulator, but since they are dual screen games it really does not look good at all on the psp. hope this helps.

Three replies above yours, Mickoz74 answered the question re: what are .nds files, albeit not with the detail that you have.

yes you can convert to pandora with a softmod, if you google it you will find several. if your game is in the iso folder and is not working it is probally a bad iso try another one.
