They did put in hard work into this. If its a small donation then I don't mind really. For them to charge a premium on it then it would be ridiculous.

whats up with teamjungle? wtf are they doing? if you gonna make us pay. at least let us know whats going on... is it going to be release. is it cancelled?. is the team over? I really dont mind paying as long as its reasonable price. After all is a lot of hard work.
but again i cant avoid to mention. Isnt hacking for profit, a crime?
but then, we also profit from having a hacked console so..

wow this is taking a long time...and no info on when its gonna come out, or even if its gonna come out at all after the drama with C4. which sucks so much because winter break is coming up.
if it doesnt come out before the end of the week im flashing to 1.61. fuck it. i hear lots of people are using it now after the wave and not getting banned, so i dont see how this mystical LT that comes out on whothehellknows 2012 would be monumentally beneficial, except for the activate.iso thing you have to do for 1.61.

I feel the same way. If the new firmware isn't out by January 1, I'm just going to flash my box with 1.60 again (Lite-On) and use the activation disc. I've had a brand new 360 just sitting here for 3 weeks now and I want to play some games.

is there any proof of them chraging for LT?
or is it just speculation by some one that has got out of hand.
it was the same story when 1.6 was going to be released people asking every day when is it comming out.
it took at least 2 months from the anouncment of 1.6 to the actual release.
so just be patent it will be out in a couple of weeks mid jan at the latest.
even if they do charge for the new firmware how much money are people saving from downloading 70 euro games for nothing??
20 euro would be a fair price in my opinion.
also how many people actually donated for the previous firmware versions
i would imagine it was quite low 10% at the very most.

i switched my liteon back to stock firmware and im still safe from the ban, i went offline mid october. I wouldnt really suggest doing it, since i hear a lot of people doing the same and getting banned. What i would suggest is, forget about this LT, get another console and use it online. Save your flashed console for offline. You probably will only play a few games online. And you get the flashed ones to tryout offline games. You like the game? want to play it online? buy it!
I got my Stock Liteon so i can play online, Im getting a jtag exploitable console and Jtag it. you guys should do the same.
a lot of good things coming for xbox360 homebrew!

Will the homebrew be any better for actual 360 games? or just be an adition of mods to play XBL and old school NES games?
If LT were to coem out, id give it a 1 y ear chance, seems EVERY November we have to play cat & Mouse.

would them charging for LT really work? i would be happy to pay for it but as soon as ppl start buying the firmware it wouldn't be long before its on torrent/newsgroups ect.i know you would be taking a chance but i'm sure there would be a legit copy released soon after the firmware is released

Why dont they just release it as is. the prob they last said was issues with non-verb media, majority of ppl use verb discs anyway so the new firmware would make the ppl using other brand disc start using verb discs which aint a bad thing. Or release 2 versions 1 for verb discs & other for verb & non verb.

Yeah I have to agree with you on that one, if all kind of other software are released on file sharing sites I think this would be prone to the same faith.

good question but no one knows. and the progress of the FW hasn't been updated since dec 3. it would be easy to release a version that's verb exclusive, but yet they didn't. this makes me believe when people say they're trying to find a way to get people to pay for it.

If one wanted to use the latest xbox with the new liteon drive OFFLINE, does that mean you could use Sonic-iso homebrew XEXs method to play games?

Thats was my assumption. Man they really could release as most people i know use verbatim disks anyway.
I noticed this site in australia claiming they have the software

That is of course assuming that's the only issue they ran into, instead of just one of many.
Also, if you don't want to end up in trouble, you should take to using the edit button instead of double posting. It's that small icon in the upper right of your posts with a paper and pencil.

could not be bothered to wait for lt,so have been online using a 1.51 hitachi for a couple of weeks now,no ban ,i think this years ban is over.noticed that they offered a discount on live subscription.(i think ms needs some of your subscription money).
if lt ever comes out theres going to be a rush of people going online with it anyway ,you might get flagged for using it along with a whole bunch of other people.

Not of they release it just after christmas :O then the rush of new people would simply be justified by new xbox owners due to the holidays... perhaps thats their reasoning/plan.

But if LT is truly indectebale, when the rush of LT users come online, they will be mixed with new subscribers and M$ wont be able to determine who to ban meaning if they choose to ban there will be a lot of pissed off legit live users.

Just because i log on for the first time in weeks as well in close proximity to the release of LT, M$ cant conclude that I'm an LT user. I could have purchased a new console, or many other reason. If it such a big deal create a new gamer tag.

just got 1 of my 360s banned ,i was fixing my 1.51 hitachi for rrod so while waiting for it to overheat ,decided to install and play game on another xbox 360.when game installed connected cable for live so that i could type in new 1 month code.BANG instant ban,i was gobsmacked.i didn't get chance to type in code,at that time i was a silver member,those MS GITS.
anyway,tried to play game that i justed installed but couldn't ,not from harddrive anyway.
so went back to 1.51 hitachi to type in code,by now it had cooled down and was working again,got on live typed in 1 month code,and was back live playing again.
