yes your right you can but you have put the firmware onto the box 1st then you can do it via the menu

Hi thanks for advice where do I get the above installer. I have loaded a prolific driver and my Com port appears to be correctly set up properly it is just not downloading the firmware to my box I am trying to use a fujitsu laptop. Cheers K

I'm still down... No area issues, Internet working, box up to date, Rescanned... Still scrambled.??? Any ideas?

All seems fine in Teesside, my boxes went off for approx 1hr a few nights ago, together with some i have installed for others (no Maint showed on VM,) but nothing like this long. I take it you have flicked the main power switch off and on. All you can do is sit tight i suppose.

if the serv was gone, everyone would have the same issue, so thats why i think it could be a localized issue, rathur than country wide, may be something wrong on the cable side of things in the OP area

Hi everyone success, can't believe it worked in the end. Got there by using an old laptop with XP and a com port and then sorting out an issue with a faulty scart lead (new but a pin missing). Happy days, thanks for all the help it was very much appreciated. I still wish I could have downloaded the firmware using my state of the art laptop anyone come up with a solution using windows 7 let me know. K X

Glad you got sorted, you can do any future flashes from your box menu now. S/W Update in the Installation section.

I followed the instructions to the letter and the comport appears to be set up correctly but firmware download did not work for some reason. As I said on my earlier thread it worked fine on an older computer with the correct port built in. Thank you for all of your help/support you are a star.

yes mine does to mate and i did try modem off and 780 off still no joy ,,, did find sly sports was fine though

rescanned after losing all channels in Edinbu1. first sign was intermitent football signal, now nothing no cable, great my football bets just went down according to radio and I cannot see a thing. Whats wrong.

Think their server might have crashed mate or maybe its been raided.
Lets hope its the 1st and just needs a reboot

mine is down in the staffordshire area got nothing done a full scan and turnrd the back of the box off still nothing any one know that the f**k is goin on..... ITS JUST NOT MY DAY TODAY!!!!!!!!!!
