Okay, nvmd. So I got a new battery, made it a pandora, downgraded, and installed custom firmware 3.52 M33. Now I'm trying to update that to 3.52-4 so that I can update to 3.90 M33. But no matter what tutorial I follow, every time I try to install the update I get the error 80020148. And I don't know why since I've kxploitpatched my firmware. And I can't rerun kxploitpatcher because of the same error. Help please.

If penguins could fly, they would take over the universe and the world would be awesome.

Quite odd, that, you're putting it in ms0:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE/?

All i can suggest is switching your kernel mode (from 1.50 to 3.52 and vice versa). To do this, turn off your PSP, then hold the R trigger down when you turn it back on again, this will bring up the recovery menu, you'll find the kernel mode option in the Configuration menu.

PSP, all the way from 1.00 to 5.50 GEN D2 - DS Lite w/ M3DS Real (M3 Sakura v1.34)
PS3 3.01 - iPod Touch 2G 16GB Jailbroken - Xbox 360 60GB - PC, Q6600, 3GB DDR2, GTX260 (216) 896MB

Yeah, I've tried switching kernel modes. But I haven't been putting it into an /UPDATE/ folder. All the tutorials say to just put it into /GAME/. I'll try that.

Maybe i'm wrong then xD

Just that newer updates (EG: 3.90 M33-2) go into the UPDATE folder.

Well, putting it into an UPDATE folder didn't work. So I switched kernels again and, low and behold, it worked. Now I have another problem. I'm trying to update to 3.90 M33 and whenever it gets to the verification part ('Please wait...') it just stops.

As in the memory stick light just stops blinking? If it's still blinking it means it's just taking it's time, so wait for it, if not, then i'm not really sure what the problem could be (It would tell you if it couldn't find the 3.90 EBOOT etc.)

Well, I'm good now. Got 3.90 M33-2. I didn't realize that the kernel had to be switched back to 3.52. Thnx.

Pretty odd really, i've gone from 1.50 to 3.52 M33-4 to 3.90 M33-2 in one stint before and everything went without me having to change a thing...

Why don't you just use the umd dumper that Dark Alex incorporated into his custom firmware? You can find it in the vsh menu while on the xmb.
