Here's another one. And I apologize ahead of time if this one is also mentioned previously. I'm not sure if I'm mixing up shows... but I remember a cartoon that involves a city in the sky. And there's this young man that came across a shield and that I think had a weapon that was circular in it. This weapon would have blades that would spring out when he through it. Also, everytime he through it, the weapon would return to him. He didn't realize it at first, but found out later that he could control the weapon with his mind. He learned this when the bad guys pulled a woman, that I'm guessing he was attach to, in the way of the weapon when he threw it And it stopped abruptly when he said "No" and reached out mentally to stop it from hitting her.
