Can someone explain how to get n64 roms working? Im using mario64 which on other forums aparently works. When using GC N64 Server it shows the zelda screen 'reading the game disk' the load bar goes to the end then it stays on that screen and doesnt do anything.
Also does the same with Phoenix 2.2 or just stops on a black screen.
Can someone help???? is it something to do with the settings???
Also is there a snes loader????

Try another GC Loader in the "Loaders" Screen. I think MSG Loader is default, use "ACL 1.4"

I got the wind waker working lastnight. The only choppy parts are when you go in/out doors to a new area. The intro movie music was kinda choppy too.

Also, I was fooling around with the n64 emulator thingy, Mario kart 64 and waverace 64 are working with it. Goldeneye and paper mario didn't want to work.

The only nes games I could get working were zelda 1 and 2 which makes sense because the nes emulator on the zelda bonus disc must've been specially written to emulate the nes zelda games.

I was wondering if anyone can help me
My pc is a p4 2.8, 2gig of mem, win xp, switch 10/100mbps - which i connect my gamcube to.

Software:
Cubesoft Phoenix 2.3
gamecubeserver 1.0.0.29

When i backup a game in cubesoft, it goes all the way to 100% & i get packet loss & wont finsh. If i stop it the image deletes, but if i copy it to another directory while i am getting packet loss at 100% - the image will copy & when i load it my tv only goes black.

Gamecubeserver: I get to the part where its streaming & wont go any further, the disc wont read the sectors, but nothing wrong with the disc - through gamesoft its ok. Last night by fluke i got it going through gamecubeserver - but the time was so long, i stopped it because i had to sleep. When i try it again on the red screen i cant get it past the word streaming. Wont scan disc sectors

Can anyone help me or in great detail tell me the steps in backup a gc game.

Your support will be great

Please help if possible...

I am new to all this and have read through all guides but cannot find answer to my problem so I am putting this message in the hope that some kind soul can guide me into the light!!!

I am using windows XP and have the following....

GC
BB Adapter
Ethernet cable & also crossover cable.
3Com EtherLink XL 10/100 PCI TX NIC (3C905B-TX)
PSO 1&2
Phoenix v2.3

I have followed all instructions and set IP addresses and everyhting as shown on the guides... but data will not transfer between the GC & PC.
Its probably something I have overlooked but as I said, I am new to this.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Many thanx...

Hey,
im new to these forums. I got everything to work, connecting to the DNS and ripping the game with the GamecubeServer1.0.0.29. It rips nicely, takes about an hour, and I get around a 1.4gig game rip. Except, when I try to stream the game to execute it, it doesnt work, and it transfers a little, then stops transferring. I have tried this with the Paradox Server 1.3, 1.4 and Cubesoft Phoenix 2.3. None of them work. They all freeze right in the middle where it says "Loading..." and no network activity happens. Does this mean there is a bad rip, or can I do something to the .gcm file to make it work? Is it just my network? It effortlessly connects to my computer, it just doesnt come through and execute the game.
Any Suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated. I have about 7 days left to return the Broadband adapter, as I have no use for it afterwards if this doesnt work.
THANKS!!

I just figured it out - im backuping up my second one right now.
Phoenix - will do it but give you 100% packet loss at 100% of copying the image. I started using gamecubeserver 1.0.0.29 & it works. Plz read my above post for the problem. I connected a laptop up with the same settings as icemonkey gave on the of the very first post. The location of save will be like this example.gcm - but dont save into another director. As well i put my network card as half duplex, i am keen to try it on my pc but at the moment cant because i am currently doing my second image. Its the best way i found gamecubeserver - also have tested my image - no probs, works fine.
If anyone can tell me why i get packet loss at 100% through phoenix would love to know.
I found phoenix will copy faster than gamecubeserver also.

When you start the loader on the PC, do you get any kind of error when the DNS service starts such as cannot bind DNS to ip x.x.x.x? What IP addresses and subnet masks do you have configured on your Gamecube and your PC?
