When you say it copies, do you mean it says that it was successful in creating a backup? And if so, are you getting the problems when you attempt to stream it back?

Sry, didnt start a new thread >.< .I've tried using the program PSUL v1.1 but when i start it up, it very quickly brings up an msdos prompt screen, then it closes before i can even try to read what it says. Also, i would like to back up my PSO save games, can i do that via this? I use windows xp.

I haven't heard of anybody being able to download from a Gamecube memory card to the PC yet. Check your PM for the other issue.

I'm fairly new to all this as well and no matter what game/loader I try I have the same issue

useing NTSC gamecube + bb
Phantasy Start 1&2
Pheonix 2.3

I've tried all the ACL loaders and serving from both Pheonix and Standard.. when serving from standard I get the following with just a black screen (after pressing start on my controller)

Initialising...OK
WaitingC.........X.X.X.X.X.X.X
I've let it sit there for upwards of an hour or so w/ no change.

I can launch the disk browser from in pheonix and the iso ripping server seems to work just fine as well

Anyone have any ideas?

i, xenon131 have the same problem as d3s7. If anyone knows the solution to his problem contact me as well. If there is a solution to that, that would be great. I have tried the games Billy Hatcher, Super Monkey ball, Starfox Adventures and Vexx.
Please help.
Thanks

Icemonkey thanks for replying
yes through gamecube server it completes the image 100% but have trouble streaming it back - the loader will show the image i backed up but once i try load it all i get is a black screen.

Through phoenix the image gets to 100% & when it tires to close the image i get packet loss.

I have only successful done 1 image out of i dont know how many tires.

What am i doing wrong - can you please tell me how you backup your image & what is your ratio of failing as well. The reason i ask you because i have read many threads and no one really mentions backuping & your nearly on all threads - so you have good experience. Your help would be great

Hi! Sorry to bother, I backed up my games and I'm actually playing them through my PC with my GC and I use "GC Disc Server v1.3.0 beta - ParadoX". Games go too slow. Is it there a way to uncap the bandwidth? maybe if I use another streamer? Which one would you recommend and where to get it? THANKS SO MUCH! :)

The image copies across but why is it black when i load it. When i load the image the game description comes up in the loader but black. As no one ever get these problems before. I have followed ice monkey steps & out of 11 times i can only been able to successful do one.

Bro plz man i just tell me in detail everything you do & what kind of problems you have occured & over come them. I dont know why no one answer me in this forum when the title is: Full Guide to Gamecube Backup/Booting

Thanks anyway - this is doing my head in nicely.
I have several images & can load no probs but its just backing up. I will try phoenix 2.2 & try build a stand alone machine for it but i just feel i am missing one step.

In gamecube server do you run create md5 sumcheck or GCMWipe before or after backing up the image.

Everyone i know run ps2 which sux im only person with a gc & after reading this thread i brought the stuff to backup images had no luck ):

madman917,
Since the Broadband Adaptor can currently only run at 10 mbits/second, a lot of things will run choppy regardless of the loader, settings, etc. It just can't stream it fast enough. Yeah, I know, a bit of a pain compared to the rather simplistic modding on the Xbox and PS2, but hey, you've gotta hand it to Nintendo, they put a lot of effort into security on this thing...

Ummm... with most hubs, I dont think you can. You would probably need a router or a switch. Most Hubs won't forward a DHCP IP or direct IP address as far i know, and this is quite vital to getting online ;) . Only a very select amount of hubs can do so. But just in case, i'll just make sure youre connecting to the hub with patch cables? If you arent, then you should be :P .

Sorry if this was asked before, but do you need to subscribe to the PSO thing when you have to pay per month?

No, a gameplay subscription is not necessary to stream games from the PC to the Gamecube.

I can't seem to get Custom Robo to load past the Noise logo. Are there any loaders or settings that it works with, or does it just mot work period?
