Yeah, too bad more stuff wasn't like the psp. Just transfer to memory stick and your good to go, of course have pandora or use battery installer.
My DS-lite was really the simplest of all, lol. Just have a slot 1 card , transfer files and your all set.

You will understand once you have your fmcb 1.8 on a mc, and read some info over at psx-scene/forums on it.

The big thing with fmcb is the files have to be installed to mc and you need a way to install it, can't just be copied to mc to install.

Hey ilcmdme

It is just the SCPH-9000x models with a Date code 8c or higher that won't work.
Sony made a revision to the Bios not long after the release of them.

And the very first 2 models of PS2. There is a fix for them I believe.

The psx-scene forum is down at the moment or I would find the thread for it.

Not sure why. Did you put your DVDELF.BIN in the INJECT folder when installing.

I would check the tutorial here: http://bootleg.sksapps.com/tutorials/fmc...tall_guide.html

and scroll down to the configurator.

Do you have "fastboot" set to on, or also you can hit R2 as the PS2 loads up and ESR should start.
These files can also be launched during boot-up with the button presses :

BOOT.ELF ( R1)
ESR.ELF ( R2)
HDLOADER.ELF ( L1)
SMS.ELF ( L2)
FMCB Configurator ( START)

I would recommend to update to 1.8 as its all set and ready to go to autoboot the patched disk.
Or same thing you can edit the fmcb configurator.

Thanks, I'll just assign and hold a button. It works ok, but I let it boot to browser, then hit circle to return, scroll down and select ESR. This method i prefer.

Listen, I'm thinking of trading my FAT PS2 for a SLIM PS2. If i do this, will i be able to boot from an external (USB)HDD? or Can i just use the external (USB)HDD on my FAT PS2?

If these are possible, would i be able to boot ps1 isos?

Always appreciate your input!
