I tried that, still getting the message. I burned a disc yesterday and had to leave, leaving the finished disc in the burner which I guess it was trying to run the burned disc. Now today when I try to use Rip It 4 ME, it will say it is finding out the disc info, then decrypter says waiting for drive to be ready and the log on rip it 4 me says about the auto play.
What am I doing wrong?

Have you tried disabling autoplay for that drive in EXPLORER?
Right click on your drive and choose PROPERTIES. Then on the AUTOPLAY tab you can choose to TAKE NO ACTION. You will have to do this for all the choices listed that you don't want to run when you insert a disc.

I changed to take no action, nothing changed. It has got to have something to do with the disc I left in there. I have been burning just fine for a few months now until I left that disc in there. Here is what the entire log in rip it 4 me says:
Wizard Step 1
NOTE: Trapped on Auto Play message!
This prevents autorun.inf from running automatically
Action cancelled
Obviously by leaving the backed up disc in the drive, it was trying to start it up and play it, but somehow got stuck??

It should be version 1.5.7.0.
There should be a file called DebugLog.txt. Can you post it. You might have another program running in the background that has a hold on that drive.

I checked it and it is version 1.5.7.0. It was the fix that was the 1.6.0.0. Here is what the Debug file says:
I 12:04:21: Wizard Step 1
I 12:04:45: NOTE: Trapped OnAutoPlay message!
This prevents any Autorun.inf from running automatically.
I 12:04:47: Canceled
I 12:04:47: Done at 12:04:47
I 12:04:47: Elapsed time: 00:00:26

Are you saying I should delete rip it 4 me, the actual program? I don't have mine in that location, just want to verify what you are saying.

No. The files in that folder can be safely deleted. When you rip a disc, the information is stored in that folder. If you want, just delete the file RipIt4Me.ini. Then reboot.
This folder may be hidden on your system. You may have to go into TOOLS/FOLDER OPTIONS/VIEW and change your settings to view hidden files.

I can't find any files listed in the Rip it 4 me folder other than the .exe file that launches the program. They way mine is set up, each time I backup a dvd, it goes directly onto the C drive in a folder titled with the name of the movie. What would happen if I did just delete ripit4me, install it again and start over?

Something is running in the background.
You may need to list all the programs that run at startup.
I forgot to ask:
What is the name of the movie you're trying to rip?

The last one that I did where it got stuck was...don't laugh...it's not for me...Funny Lady. I just know it had to have something to do with leaving the finished disc in the burner, It must have seen it as a disc that I wanted to play is all I can think. So, I guess I'm going to try deleting ripit4me and starting over. What do you think? Will it mess up anything?

Yes you can try that. Also delete the folder that I mentioned. But I still believe that something is effecting the drive. Try running a good anti-spyware program and a good registry cleaner.

@Arniebear.
I have all of my ripping programs installed on my second hard drive, Letter D:, works fine. Really doesn't matter where you put it as long as it is installed there and not moved after installation
