Open up Rebuilder.ini in the DVD-RB directory and look at the bottom. There should be 2 lines that look like these for keeping English audio and subtitle streams:
Languages=1111111111111111111111110111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111
sLanguages=1111111111111111111111110111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111
If they look different, try copying an pasting them in and then restart DVD-RB. That should fix the problem, but I don't know why it would have changed or why it wouldn't change back.

It looks like you have it set up backwards. Make sure the language you want to keep is unchecked and the languages you want removed are all checked.

Vurbal
It's working just fine now. I think it was caused by a DVD that had a French Language track sharing the same sound track as the English track. I've seen this before where people who removed a French sound track also didn't get an English track.
I was doing some Shrink beta testing. I ripped the movie with DVD Shrink and in the process I removed the French track but when the movie was done it had neither English nor French sound tracks. I decided I would like a keeper for my archive. I ripped the movie again with DVD Decrypter and used DVDrebuilder but before I started to prepare I added the French sound track just in case.
After I'd finished I tried another movie and noticed my settings seemed to have changed so I went over them again and they were fine. I opened the movie and only the French sound track was selected. I swapped it for the English track and it worked but I couldn't figure out how to get it back to English only.
I could see me being tired and doing a backup and then trying to watch a moive in French. My oldest son is a French Canadian maybe I could get him to come over and translate.
Thanks Vurbal

I rechecked my settings as the were before and You're right I had reversed both the initial languages and then did it again with the second part. This would be a disaster except that what I did worked. In over twenty backups with rebuilder and CCE I've had only one failure and I blamed that on over editing with remake. I hear all these problems that others are having I'm having none and I'm doing it wrong. LOL, LOL, LOL

I think the guides are great! I could use more explanation when it comes to the drive mapping. I have some experience when it comes to networking in windows. Just never messed with mapping before.

Hi guys!
Is there any other way to use CCE Basic Trial Version succesfully instead of CCE SP Trial Version>EclCCE.exe?
Because Transcoding with CCE SP Trial Version through clCCE.exe leaves that "watermark" and I don't like it.
I tried to work with CCE Basic Trial Version but I had the same problems that mccoy5.
Thanks!

Using the trial is just for testing. CCE SP works very well for that. If your satisfied with the results then go ahead and buy the 58 dollars for CCE basic.
I tested several movies on SP. Then I purchased Basic.
I have been very happy.

And with the original CCE Basic didn't you get the messages:
Can't open ecl file?
and after OK, there is nothing to do, dvd rb couldn't locate appropriate file in working directory! you must prepare & encode first.????????
I mean it works properly?

Seriously, buy it otherwise you'll never get to know it or enjoy it. The trial versions are just annoying!

OK :)
And which one costs 58$? CCE Basic or CCE SP?
As I understood CCE Basic is the best. CCE SP is just a kind of "presentation" right?

Basic is $58, CCE SP is $2000, but the difference for what we do is virtually zero and Basic works better.

vmx, buy it, you won't regret it. As subjective as this subject is(which apps produces the best quality), almost all agree that rebuilder/CCE is no. 1, it's only which comes in second and down that the debate arises. That in itself should tell ya something.
Something else to consider down the line, DVDremake(25.00), best editing tool out there, works great with RB/CCE, Unfortunately it's trial version ain't so hot either since it won't let you export your reworked files, but it does give ya an idea how it works.
Good luck....

I can't remember how many times I've suggested that someone buy CCE Basic and I've yet to receive a single complaint.

And we think that we don't have an open discussion thread left.
I found this one from a link in the best transcoder thread

Good point Donald, there's been so many changes in RB since this thread was started that an update to Vurbal's guide is called for.
Hear that Vurbal?
It's hard to believe that this thread had been buried for almost three months.

Hi, bigo, Sophocles. I've just gotten so busy. Moved to S.C. and I am being worked to death at a local health clinic. Lots of sick folk...
That hasn't stopped me from checking from time to time on you guys. Still using Rebuilder too. Most useful piece of software around. BTW, Sophocles, thanks for the message a few weeks ago.
Just behave yourselves, I may just be around the corner, lurking...Don't let this thread die, I need it.
