Hi,i've wiped my digivox xl and i can now only receive freeview channels.I,ve been told that it needs re-flashing.
I can't get in touch with the guy who originally flashed it,can anyone tell me how to go about doing it myself.
Cheers

If you look in the link(eamos library)under my pic you will find the digivox folder, open it and you will find the xl usb folder.Download the first folder (fw archive)and you will find a guide to loading your firmware, you will need wirar to unwrap it.Do not use the firmware in that folder if you are from Ireland(always handy to say what country your in),download the folder under that one(Jun09 Ireland Fix).

In the guide it says you can use a usb device or a null modem cable and instructs you how to do both. The usb shoudl be no bother with vista but the null modem's a different kettle of fish,as 99% of people have problem's when using vista.

You will get a null modem cable from maplins, make sure its the proper one db9f to db9f, and you will propably need a usb to serial adapter as well, also why don't you use the usb method?.You still havn't said what country your in so i can't tell you what firmware to use on your box.

I flashed the box with the Jun09 Ireland Fix bin file. I'm on n*l dublin. The free to air channels are now working but none of the encrypted ones. Is there more I must do?

Hi Karl.
Thanks for your time.
I did this...
Automatic scan, then, menu/system info/press ok/type in 1004/turn emu to on/hit ok on set default k*y exit out let it update on sly sp 1.
Still not working. What I haven't done is a factory reset(which I think is default state when flashed right?) because I can't figure out the password.
