Choose option 4 If you have a slim. You chose option 3 and your slim is above 3.60.

Ok I need ur opinion. I bought a psp slim today v2004. It had fw 3.80 in it. I also bought a battery, the sony official 2200mah with gold letters on it which I hardmodded.I made a magicstick using TOTAL Newbie easy Installer. At the screen in which I 'm supposed to choose the way I choose no 4. my prob is that when i put in the Magicstick and the Pandora battery the psp opens but i can't see anything on the screen so I pressed X and the Mstick light started flashing. when it stopped the psp went off by itself. I then put back in the normal battery and it booted with firmware 3.71. But i think it's the original. not an m33 cause I can't get in recovery to change settings neither I can run hombrew. I tried a couple of times to reflash but same thing happens...Why a blank screen when I start the procedure to unbrick/downgrade? Why no custom firmware installed when the ''blind proccedure'' finishes? any help would be appreciated.

OK, OK... I see that a whole lot of problems just came out..
Make sure that your memory stick is REAL, and your USB is connected into the PSP properly.
And remember that the memory stick's size must be from 128MB-2GB.
And try selecting option 4 if you have a slim. If you don't choose option 4 anyway, it may help.

No one has had this problem yet, so I'm not too sure what to do. Check that your memory stick is real, USB is connected and the memory stick is clear of any files.
Um... Just saw the problem, choose option 1 if you have a FAT. I don't know why that option is 4 is acting that way, but choose option 1 and see what happens.

ok i downloaded the TotalNewbi Easy Installer nd a bunch of files opened up on Winrar...wcan n e one tell me wat i have 2 open or w/e? heres a picture of the winrar screen
Right click the TotalNewbi Easy Installed file, and select 'extract files...' and now select the destination to where you want the file to be, I recommend you to save it into the desktop, until you're done with it.

Were you using a FAT battery?
Try taking out your battery and MS, plug your PSP into your AC Adapter, and switch it on. If it doesn't work, buy a TOOL battery, buy a memory stick adapter, then insert your MS into your adapter, and erase all the files. Re-install TotalNewbi, put your TOOL battery and memory stick in, and then try.
Tell me what happens.

Windows Vista will not work with this. There's maybe 1 or 2 guides telling you how to create a Pandora's Battery without the need of the computer( apart from transferring files to PSP.) but they are only for PSPs with custom firmware.
I'm sure at least one of your friends will have Windows XP, so ask them if you can use their PC and install TotalNewbi there.
EDIT: Look at the extra step in the guide, click the link and install that. The UPMS doesn't require a PC apart from transferring files.

If you have a SLIM and nothing appears when you boot up with your Pandora equipment, don't worry. The menu is there, but it just doesn't display. This is normal.

Just press down twice, followed by X. Do it slowly, just to be sure.

That should work.

Ok, now I have a question. :P I actually posted a thread about this, but perhaps someone watching this thread can answer instead. Basically, I can't format my memstick on the PSP, because my PSP is bricked. So, will this work on a Windows-formatted memory stick?

Thanks.

Yeah @Kim;
You said i should use a tool battery.I sugest that is a spare battery. If it is then i have used it but still no difference.
I think the problem came from the Total Newbie installer.
It installed a 3.71 firmware and deleted the 3.73 that came with it.\
Since then its been malfunctioning
now its showing all the lights(Power, memory stick and Wifi lights)
Can someboy help cos i hv barely played a game with this console....
