i used dvdfab decrypter with both Leatherheads and Sex In The City John. Did it not work for you?
5.0.9.5 on full disc didn't work for me. So, i backed up to 4.1.2.0 and tried full disc, still nada. Finally ripped main movie, with no non-english languages and subtitles, transcoded, and burned with VSO.
@Dialysis
Thanks again for keeping us updated. Much appreciated bro.
EDIT: Noticed there's no mention of a fix for Leather Heads or Sex in the City (which i still haven't backed up yet.

AnyDVD had no trouble with Sex and the city-movie only. I did not try Fab Plat. to be fair. Leathernecks-bad movie won't try either.

First of all as 7th said, thanks to dialysis for the update.
Second, I never could get the full disk to be 100% correct with Fab 5.0.9.5 either. I finally just burned it and it plays fine except for it takes a second to get going when I push play and there are no ending credits. But if it ever quits playing I will just pop the original back in and start over.

Not sure if I am THAT frustrated yet. Good program, yes. Are they a little overly proud of it, yes. IMHO.

Definitely over proud but I've had it a long time at a great price. I also like DVD Fab Plat too and paid the higher price for it and will have to update every year. There just aren't any Saws out there. It's too easy now.

You and I both got stuck with the higher price and yearly updates on DVDFab. But the way I look at it is, look at everything you get when you purchase DVD Fab as opposed to AnyDVD. Don't get me wrong I would have loved to have gotten AnyDVD prior to the price jump and may still eventually purchase it, but right now I am perfectly content just running DVD Fab.

I got DvdFab Platinum before the yearly fee increase, but i'm still kicking myself for not picking up Anydvd before they went to Euros. I'll probably hang until Christmas when they typically post a nice little coupon and buy it then.

Same here. I have too much on my plate at this time to purchase any additional programs. I purchased dvdfab platinum almost 2 years ago. I actually purchased 2 keys, one for my desktop and one for my laptop.

It does actually, but I keep the other one as a backup in case anything messes up with the first key....even tho I have both e-mails with the key codes saved.

Not paranoia, bones. Just safety. Kinda learned in the service to keep something backed up for contingency, or as I call it, 'Just In Case'.

Have you sent the IFO files into Ting et al ?; as i say, Region 2 was painless.
It is very strange how the more difficult encryptions don't seem to be on the bigger movies, and in different regions too. Doesn't ever make any sense.

@Creaky,
1) yes to the ifo's to Ting/fengtao
2) I believe the not making sense is making sense in that the scattered hard encryptions are making the backing up community on edge as to if the big releases will be possible to be backed up successfully. Also If a big encryption renders a stand alone dvd player inoperative on a big release, boy is the consuming public gonna be mad, whereas if the movie studios screw up a lesser release, only a little profit is down the drain, if you follow. Lesser releases become guinea pigs for tougher encryption models to be used on big releases in the near future.

Yeah i see what you mean, that would make sense. Like the protection on some audio cd's were causing widespread problems (with the original cd's in standard players) not so long back.
