Originally posted by ferguj1: On a different note, I have another question. It is partly Fab related so I don't feel too bad posting here. Do any of you guys own AnyDVD as well or strictly Fab? The reason I ask is that I like Fab alot but I waited too long to purchase so I got stuck with the yearly renewal deal, really sucks. Anyway, slysoft is running a 20% off deal, plus the dollar has improved a little so AnyDVD can be bought for around 59.00 with lifetime updates. Just curious as to your guys opinions on the matter.
P.S- I am not asking which is better, I know that there are multiple threads for that. I like both progs, just curious and most of the members I want to ask have been hanging out here lately.
I believe that is 59 euros
I bought both Anydvd and dvd fab plat both b4 the price increase.
1) I find Anydvd gives cleaner rips
2) although fab is updated more frequently than anydvd, I find fab has more glitches in it.
3) for a new dvd, I ususlly like to rip with ripit4me and anydvd
4) if the above method does not work, then I use Anydvd alone as a ripper with devices set to slow and quiet (works almost all the time)
5) lastly if all fails, then I use fab plat (latest).
6) if nothing works, I wait for the update
Just my 2 cents
previously a die hard dvdfabhd man, but as of late, I prefer anydvd over fab. I purchased both, and like everyone else say, just can't have too many good quality tools (I think I'm beginning to sound like Tim, the toolman, Taylor )

@ iluvendo
Thanks for the response and the advice, its always nice to know what others are using and what they recommend. As for the price as of today AnyDVD is 49.00 Euros - 20% discount(9.80) = 39.20 Euros which converts to roughly $57.74. As for purchasing, I am still on the fence. As rtm27 said, I am also very pleased with DVDFab Platinum. But I don't want to get caught "with my pants down" someday when something doesn't work. I have until the 24th to decide so when that day comes I guess I will flip a coin.

LOL
I just happen to be up everyday around 3 or 4am. That's usually when the updates come out. Never checked the time zones but it's probably the end of the day in China when the updates are released.
