yeah im conected to the limited DivX one that appered a couple of days ago
but ive got a slow conection so not going to well 256/56

I have a slimline with DMS4 lite and TOxic BIOS. Big Raiders fan!
Just joined and also desperate for a solution to backup this game.
Looking though the tread no one has done it yet correct.
Sorry if this is a newbie question, but has anyone tried the DNAS
fix as this is an online type game. Looked at the "DNAS Disk ID Utlity" and programs like "WinDIP1.7" to insert ID.
Or is this totally a waste of time oand off track. Gurus help pls.

That wouldn't affect the game booting or not. The game is mod protected. Patching the DNA's would only allow you to play your backup online. It would have nothing to do with booting a mod protected game. Anyway all you die hard rugby fans, Rugby League 06 comes out next week in the U.S. So if you have a chip that supports a Y fix (like the DMS 4 Pro SE or Matrix Infinity) and you live in Europe or the UK, then you could download NTSC-US version of the game and use your Y fix to center the game perfectly.

Dude,
Thanks for clearing up my misunderstandings. But it sounds like everyone here has given up and the kiwis have beaten all. Very disappointing. I will keep trying or listening out here anyway.
If anyone has any torrent link would love to have them pls.
But really, you need to know the difference between Rugby League (the best game of all) and Rugby Union (that other one). The EA Rugby game is about Union - big appeal for many fans, but not for me, definetly not the same thing as League, unfortunately.

yeah look the only good thing that will come of the union 06 is that rl2 will come down in price and acutally be affordable for people but your right league is the best though union not to bad but sucks compared to league hope this thing is busted soon though or that this torrent is gunna work good luck to all

I think we need some correct information on this game that is 100% accurate.
I have read through this thread and several others and seen yes and no's for the same question. so....
Can a backup(burned copy) of the game be played with a set of swap magic discs, or, from HD Loader on a non-chipped ps2?
The above question is the most important one. Cause if the game is not normally playable using swap/hdl then that would probably mean that something has changed in the process original-->copy.
So can anyone answer the above question^^?

I cannot answer that question per se as I do not have a HD Loader or Swap Magic but as I said earlier the original game boots with my Messiah 2 turned on but the backup does not. So wouldn't that suggest that something has changed in the copy?

I have swap magic. I burned NRL2 just standard way using either alcohol or DVD Decrypter and it doesnt work with swap magic. Only loads to menus screen and no further. Hanging to get it working with swap magic.

Ok, thanks for the confirmation. That would suggest that in fact something has changed when burning it. Can anyone with the original game open up the disk.map file in notepad and post the 3 first lines here please...also, can someone confirm that when rebuilding the game, it doesnt even start(rebuilding properly with sony cd/dvd gen)?

hmmmm has anyone come to the conclusion that if the "original factory pressed" doesnt load, then the back up wont? Kinda pointless post but just my $0.02.
If anything id wait for a firmware update for the Matrix or DMS, someone will use the protection that they have used here for a newer game thats actually decent and the hackers code crackers with come up with something

Just found a torrent on piratebay.org for this and the owner (Strike) claims to have applied a working crack. There are no seeds for this, so does anyone know if this crack actually works as I'm not going to waste my time downloading it if it doesn't.
