As for the first one... that's down to aDs cache. You have to be logged in to see new posts... I think the chache thing is right anyhow..
As for the second bit, that's happened to me a few times too, I think it's a bit of a glitch, but meh.

As for the first.. It's because the bookmark takes you back to a previous point in time. Reload the page should solve that.
the second.. I see pages like that sometimes when the site is slow. The page hasn't loaded properly in your browser, which has decided by itself that the page is complete.
No panic..hit refresh and everything will be fine. It's not to do with the site, more vagaries of browsers.

Yeah, I've been told that you have to log in to see new posts on a thread. Like @ the forum index, you can see the latest posters name, but you go into the thread, and it's not there, until you log in.
Lol. :-)

That is not entirely true. It is just that we use quite strong caching that still has some flaws in it (that we intend to address shortly), but caching is not in use for logged in users.

Just a query and observation. Last night and this morning i went into my account page and did not find the link to my profile page. I can still getting in by clicking on my name from one of the posts i have done. But I found it easier having a link the other way in my account page.
Or is this being updated or something?? Some light shed on this would be good.

Seems like updates are in progres. No functions on profile pages.. No posting anything anywhere. I can't post a blog, change pictures or anything. The forums are working fine, apart from not updating latest post in lists.
Is this happening for anybody else?

Not meaning to be difficult but i read the article about the server and maintenances issues. But it does not address the profile pages unless the crash has effected the profile pages are we ever going to see that link back in our "My Account" page???

To All,
I found a way around all our user profile problems. To get direct access to our own pages, the create your own profile page button has become a sub menu when you go to the big tag of Profile. Under that you will find Create your own profile page and then that will take you to your profile management page.
I hope that helps you all.

Very slow tonight.. Longest page loading times I have seen..
189.875s to post a reply, other pages are taking between 15 and 120 seconds depending on content.

Haven't experienced similar problems myself (from Finland). Anyone else seeing slow page loads?
Could you, Janrocks, provide a traceroute from your computer to www.afterdawn.com?
