@trombone: do you have DVD43 installed by chance? They don't play nicely together.
I too feel that AnyDVD is the best money I've ever spent on software. I've seen some issues with AnyDVD but they usually revolve around configuration (meaning the user never bothered to look into the settings).
If you have any Intervideo products they have been known to conflict with AnyDVD as well. I have some but I've never experienced any conflicts at all.

anydvd just runs in the background and pulls off copy protection, has nothing to do with video quality.

I do have Intervideo player. That shouldn't conflict with the uninstalling process. I don't know, i can't open the registry editor for some reason. For some reason unbeknownst to me, this program will simply not die!

Open your C drive in Windows Explorer and look for all folders named Slysoft and delete them. Then if you have a Reg cleaner program run that also. Reboot and see what happens.

Slysoft said it conflicts with some intervideo products. I don't have WinDVD (I think that's intervideo's player), but I had DVD Copy 3 for a while and had no problems. Maybe WinDVD is sometimes conflicting with AnyDVD. Just because you think it shouldn't conflict doesn't mean that it doesn't conflict. In a perfect world there would be no conflicts at all.

I understand what you're saying. I'm saying that if it conflicted...the program wouldn't WORK correctly. I've not heard of a program that conflicted with the uninstallation of a product b4.

I have been running WinDVD and Anydvd together for years with no problem. However I don't have Anydvd set to auto start. I only fire it up when its needed. I don't like having programs auto start. If I want to use something I'll decide when to start it.

I like the name change to this thread. Looks like the work of Neph or Flip.

I have a comment. I Bought AnyDVD a week or so after the trial. Had it for about 6 months. Slysoft stays on top of it with updates, and I have not see a DVD it could not "decrypt" yet. I also have a custom built PC.I built it. Actually I have 2. Anyway, I Love AnyDVD and will always use it! I like using it with Nero Recode2, Main Movie. There has been a couple of Movies that caused Nero to "hang", However they were New Versions of "Arccos" and I used CloneDVD2 and it worked Perfect! I have found that ClonedDVD2 & AnyDVD work VERY well together. I hope the new member gives AnyDVD a shot again.I agree with one member, Disable the autostart.Just fire it up when needed. I have NEVER had a Blue Screen of Death. And believe me, I push it to the limit! For what it's woth guys & gals, AnyDVD works!

anydvd does work and it works great. It probably does work best with CloneDVD 2, because they were kinda meant for each other.

trombone3... be patient, AnyDVD is a great program. You'll like it as soon as you get the solution to your problem. Afterdawn is a good source of info & now and then the folks will get frisky and roast someone a bit. Hang in there and you will be both a learner and a teacher in these forums.

My sentiments exactly. I turned off autostart and the program still works fine, only open it when I need it.

@trombone3;
People who are a part of this forum are generally very knowledgable. They come here to learn and to teach and mostly to help others. Your post was none of the above, nobody agrees with you, doesn't that tell you something? AnyDVD is a truely great program and just because you had a little problem, instead of bashing the program, you might have asked for help. You have achieved nothing.

@ALAND
I posted awhile back about my problem. ONE person posted back. Thusfar, i have succeeded in making my opinion known to whoever is listening (which includes you aparently). So why don't you back off me, because i'm tired of people attempting to make me out to be an idiot just because i disagree with a program that probably has good uses to other people. But as far as i'm concerned, it didn't help me at all.

aland is right, if you had a problem with the software, you should have asked for help first instead of just bashing it, telling people they shouldn't buy it. That gets people in defensive mode, especially people who swear by the program (like me).

I know you don't want to use this progeam anymore but could this have been your 'blue screen' problem?
If you had this problem you would be frustrated also. Even I was wrong ... apparently there is a problem with the software for some.
