Well I'm glad I read this thread. I was ready to start trouble shooting my system and home network. I guess A-D has some problems again. I don't like problems of any kind but glad they are not mine directly.

Me too, learning to live with it and go play solitaire or something until it comes back. I beginning to think it is overload, too many Q&A's, lol :)

Has anyone sent a pm to one of the mods or admins?? We usually see some type of statement on these problems if they are aware of them. I would guess they should know its happening.

It's the Canadians again using too much electricity. ddp, start using the crank on the side of your PC for a while and see what happens.

I'm sorry about the problems caused by the servers. I've been trying to find a cause for the lockups, but have so far failed. What makes it particularly dificult is that the problems mostly occur at evenings EDT, which is around 4AM over here in Finland. =)
The 500 problems point to problems with the HTTP backends sending out empty responses when they're overloaded instead of either timing out or sending a proper error reply.
I've tuned some of the HTTP backend server settings. Please post to this thread if the problems keep appearing -- or if they have disappeared.
