Thanks Jari for the reply. At least we know whats up now. Intermitten problems are always the hardest ones to find.

The servers have been acting up a bit again today. The application server is automatically restarted if our monitoring system detects a 10 second timeout. The restart will lead to a 503 error, and the service might be slow up until restart.
When you see the 503 page, is it a generic page or one with AfterDawn layout?

Mine has been generic too, or just "website not responding" when I post a reply but I check and the post usually goes through, so I do not have double posts.

Thanks guys. The generic page should not show up at all, so that's something I'll have to look into.
We've made a change to one particular page which could have potentially killed an entire server when it's loaded -- especially under high loads.
I'll keep monitoring the servers. Hopefully that one change is enough to make the servers run smoothly again.

Yeah, it is still happening to me too, but I am getting used to and beginning to either wait it out, or quit and sign back on it seems to connect then.

forum server is still screwing up. also noticed since this problem began when posting a reply to a post & goto to the forum that thread is in, that it has the previous poster's nic on that thread not mine. if i go into another thread than out without posting, the thread i had just posted to now shows my nic. it is as tho there is a refresh delay or something like that.

The same thing is happening for me in the posting. I also notice that after I have been in about 10 to twelve threads it starts to slow up or I get the website not available. I have to go and type AD.com and go to the homepage and begin again.

Its 8PM EST here and the server is hanging up quite a bit right now. Took about 3 minutes for my log-in to activate.

I am also getting the server timeouts, and it is slooooow. The reply barely works the past few days, I just let it time out and go back to the main page and forum to see if it took.
