nah mate sorry what i was meant to say is that my backup acts as an original disk with the modchip turned ON.
i.e loads fine up until the menu, and then wont let you through since detecting a modchip.
sorry for the misunderstanding champ.

the only reason this game hasn't been done it because the people who do the games live in the USA, not in England, NZ and Aus.

i have found that when it gets to the blue screen you eject the disk then put it back in and it boots fine, saves you turning the chip off, up to the user i guess.
i deffinatly rreckon the game aint worth the 99 bucks only thing new is the graphics and cut out passes, still poor game play really.
Cheers

yer not likely, i would like to see what comes of the precision release...
logik47 reckons he got it to work, tho it could be a gee up, didn't really explain what he did and i tried the isobuster/nero rebuild and failed (yes i did drag them in the order they are listed in isobuster).
the rebuild was 1.2gb and wasn't recognised as a ps2 disc at all.. 1 wierd thing with the iso was that there were two layers the iso itself and a udf layer?? with what appeared to be the same content.
as for jolly roger, it looks like a straight image of the game in alcohol120%. I don't think he is affliated legit group or anything but definitely it should be nuked.

I haven't burnt it on a DL disc but I did suspect that it was on a Dual Layer disc initially. Is there a way to find out straight off the bat if it is a DVD9/DL game? (obviously it's not more than 4.37gb so it would be hard to tell) but still i wouldn't be surprised and may require a special strategy when burning...
But the thing is, the actual original won't get past the menu screen with a modchip, so its definitely going to take some patch work of some sort. (If I knew the assembly code / could disassemble code in the ps2 cpu environement it would be an easy patch - assuming u only need 1 patch) So any efforts of burning it in a special way would be useless as all of us have managed to make a backup that gets to menu and stops there with overrated (anasta) boy juggling the ball around??
Then when you think about it, could sceners like Precision release this game without testing it?

im pretty sure its single layer coz when ya read the disc on DVD Decrypter... it reads it and shows it as- No of layers:1
I noticed that it readed it quite quickly too compared to other games--then again could be nothing worth mentioning

Yeah i dunno what this precision release is and any of this nuking talk??
I'm currently downloading those torrents to see if they will work but I have big doubts. The 3.41Gb is the same size as the original so it looks dicey.
I'll probably be over this game soon anyway. Have been playing the original and there isnt much improvement in terms of gameplay from the first.
The patch side of things will not get done I don't think, like what was said, all the hackers live in the US!

you'll be surprised to know there are plenty of RE's from down under and NZ... I would focus my energy and bandwidth on getting the precision one (and precision are known for quality releases, they also did afl05) since it's actually 2.4gb (so it has been rebuilt) until we figure out how to backup this game.

How do you download the percision one?
It downloads as a .nfo file. How do you get the .nfo file to extract?
