The latest version of DVDFab does work as 311814175 posted. I was able to complete a full back up of Mr Woodcock using the latest version of DVDFab. No such luck with Saw IV, got the same encrypted disc error like all the others on a full back-up attempt. Same result with attempting to back up "Main Movie" too using the latest version of DVDFab.:P

You should let the DVDFab guys know over at cdfreaks, that's the only way these things get fixed, they can't fix what they don't know about :)

Yeah no kidding, for the $75 or whatever they raised it to now I would hope that they are doing their best to stay ahead of the game, but I have no doubt that they are. I'm just happy I bought my copy last year!

No Binkie, I actually haven't got around to that yet. I have been and will be really busy this weekend as I still have another 26 tracks to master for 4 different artists so I can all of their albums sent out for mass-production by no later than Friday of this week (and with another semester of Grad school starting on Monday, needless to say I will be all the more swamped trying to mesh everything with my 40 hours of work a week and the dedicated time I have and make to my fiancée). I will let you know when I do though and what the outcome is (but hopefully by the time that happens someone will have tried it out).

After a 19 hour day, I am going to sleep.

Cheers and goodnight.

i do not have saw 4 yet, but i saw a post on woodcock and in here,
i noticed its a new line cinema and i dont have dvdfab platinum(and already used 30 day trial) but i do have anydvd, and woodcock at home. before i attempt to copy it tonight, i was wondering if it will work like rush hour and shootem up with ripping through anydvd, run fix vts, and then shrink. before i waste a lot of time tonight, i just wanted to know if this method will work, or if anyone knows of a quicker methood without using dvdfab platinum.

Started ripping SAW IV now that I have a quick minute. I thought that I would post and say it looks like the new beta version of DVDFABPLATINUM4 will work with the protection... at least throughout the ripping stage... I'll take a look at how it handles when I throw it into the dvd player and I'll let you know.

You should be able to use ANYDVD and rip a successful copy of woodcock. I did it with Platinum4 (but that's becuase it is my program of choice) but from what I understand the newest version of ANYDVD should work with the protection on woodcock.

Cheers!

OK You will be happy to know that SAW IV ripped fine/burned within about 10 minutes. I played it and it is a COMPLETE 100% back up. Full disc, all menus, audio etc. No lag in audio, video, anything. PERFECTION!!! This is why is I LOVE dvdFABPlatinum4.

This thread's about Saw IV.... however the same workarounds apply to World's End and virtually every other film out there. Here's the World's End thread though as i say, the same fixes apply; plus you mentioned only DVD Shrink so i assume you haven't taken time to actually look thru this Saw IV thread yet....
