For the record, after it was initially ripped by the DVDFab version I used, there wasn't a duplicate main title that needed to be omitted--just in case people are wondering why there may or may not be two main titles.

BINGO! This was a piece of cake to back up. Clone2 & AnyDVD 6.3 0.3
movie only, great quality back up. New "Beta" version not needed.

Running this movie through PgcEdit I found 91 uncalled PGC's and 35 jumps to void PGC's. Now I have a very clean backup of Saw IV.
99% of all problems are between the computer and the chair.

Cujo007, you beat me to it. I had no trouble using AnyDVD-6303 and CloneDVD2-2912. I just unchecked everything but the 95 minute movie and nary a problem 15 min. later. I haven't watched it. I'm trying to do a double layer to a cheap Dynex(Richo jpn +R DL).
Recode farted, Imgburn had heartburn, DVDFab 4050 Flobbed, Ripit4me pitted. gonna try DVD2one V2.

Just curious... is this 2 different versions of the movie on the same disc (ie: theatrical and Unrated?) am I losing one of the versions by using this method?

^^ Negative. If you have the unrated disc, it's just the unrated. Everything that you see listed (numerous main titles) are just encryptions etc.
Once you use an updated program (like I did with DVDFab), it'll remove that bogus one. Therefore, when you run those files in Shrink or CloneDVD or whatever, that bogus title(s), shouldn't be there anymore.

As of this moment I am using Ripit4me in one click mode, make sure that the title under the target directory there is no < > before and after the title thats what screws ya!! Also make sure you have dvd decrypter because after it creates a PLS file it will jump directly to dvd decrypter, after it's done putting it on my hard drive, depneding on its size I'll probably run it through DVDshrink! HAPPY BURNING oooopppps I mean backing up!!!!!:)

Like most of you - no problems backing it on my end w/ the beta AnyDVD 6.3.1.1 and CloneDVD 2.9.1.5.
I only unchecked the special features I didn't want. I did not uncheck chap 25. It did show as the same time w/ these versions. But it looks like AnyDVD/CloneDVD bypassed it caused the compression ratio was around 87%

Awesome! I like slysoft doing the countless updates within a couple of days. Plus, same day service (Saw IV release with AnyDVD release) is perfect!

Kudos to newest version Beta AnyDVD 6311. Used ImgBurn to build an ISO and burned same with ImgBurn onto a Verbatim 2.4X +R DL. I have not watched the DL burn except to scan thru on pc-did OK. I have watched the AnyDVD 6303 cloneDVD Movie+menu only version I did first. It played flawlessly in a panny upconvert at 100%-no compression on +R SL Sony T02 TY.
Job well done Slysoft. No versions of DVDFab worked for me, including latest beta version. I'm sure they will quickly get it done too tho.
Edit: @Binkie I unchecked everything except the 95 min movie in Clone, because that's what the box said was the length, and there was no compresion-100%-looked awesome

Did you try viewing the backed-up SawIV yet using anydvd and clone? I too had success in burning with the recent versions of anydvd and clone but when I played it in the DVD it would show play and after a few seconds it jumped to stop. Tried play button again and stop would show up after a few seconds. Tried forwarding chapters and was eventually able to go to a point later in the movie but unable to get it to start from the beginning. I then tried ripping it with ripit4 me but removing the < > characters first. I can say that this worked perfect and looks great. Got 100% compression with movie only and removing the extra sound options. Thanks forum!

Nope - not all the way through. But I did put it in the player let it play for a few minutes then skipped through it to make sure ok.
Looked fine.
@garmoon
I would have unchecked title 25 but I wanted to test if this new beta would take care of it - it did so I just left it alone :)
I must say this doesn't seem as tough as Saw III from last time this year.

Yep use the beta - 4.0.5.1.
Or use the latest beta of AnyDVD - link in one of my above posts or Mharman10. That one worked for me - well it's also the only one I tried :)

@binkie
I just checked the DL version I did with Imgburn and anydvd. Both the movies previewed in recode end in 95min and one that's 1:42 has black screen after the credits for about 6mins. There is only one version-unrated- and then the corrupted extended play version, that plays black screen. I also mangaed to get the extended version on a SL using ripit4me by removing <,>s and getting around abort suggestions about a dirty disc-laughable-pristine no fingerprints. The fixvts file opened in Shrink, but they were 100%, I just opened them in NeroBurningRom and burned the video_ts folder. It has the extended black screen version on it and plays. All in all a fun day playing with this one. Glad they don't all act this way.LMAO
Edit: AnyDVD6311 also lets NeroRecode open the movie only- I elected not to go any further tho.
